So what you're saying is to basically create a mold? Yeah, I thought of molding so then that way the finished product would be a nice, solid piece, but I really can't afford that.

HOWEVER, since it is small, I thought about trying to make it out of sculpy clay since it's easy to work with and bakes hard in the oven AND it can be sanded and painted after it's hardened.
