With all respect, you sir are wrong! This bill is a danger to us all! GO to the links I added do some research, then you my open you mouth!
True, I did not yet read the pages from the links you provided. But that was just me expressing myself after reading your post.
And when I say "proper credit is due," it applies to all forms of models, pep-files, and the such.
I am doing what I can to research the Original Modelers, Editers, Unfolders, and Contributors, and list them in my Pep-files.
And when it's difficult, I list the unknowns under either "Edited/Modeled/Unfolded by Unknown" or "Thanks to all of the Contributors..."
But like I said, that's just me.
And I need to go back and review my own files to double-check.
Thank's, 3080.
Edit:
Ok, Still reading through Title II, and I can understand what circumstances can befall the Net.
But I've got a few questions.
1. Is the 405th considered a "Rogue" website?
1a. Could we besubjected to be potentially be shut down?
2. Is the Distribution and Sharing of Pepakura Files considered as an Act of Piracy?
2a. Are the files that we modify for the sake of Prop and Costume-making for our online Community subjected to be labled as Pirated?
... And I know that (Jeeze! Can't type for my life today!!!) I have verrrry little experience in the field of Law, but as a member of the 405th, I believe that Prop and Costume-making is our Thing. It's what we do. And sharing our works for the better of the Community isn't necesarrily a bad thing when we know for a fact that they will be used for the joy of wearing the iconic MJOLNIR armor, weilding a glorious Gravity Hammer or and Energy Sword, or anything else we as a Community partake in for events, be they as large as Comic-Con or as small as my last LAN party.
And I have to go back to what I said about doing what we can to give proper credit where it is due. This is an honest site with a large Community, so Honor is a big thing for us.
...I was about to ask what the motto of the 405th was, but give me a sec... I've got it somewhere in my Database...
Edit2:
Honor. Armor. Unity. That's the 405th, guys. So let's do what we can to give people the credit they deserve, and not lie our way through this site. Let us uphold the standards we've set throughout our time as members of the Online Community that is the 405th Infantry Division.
Now that I've said my peice,... Brainfart. Crap.
