Ok, haven't heard many responses of late. This is the last bit for the pistol, so I'll have lots of pictures for you (might even have to do it in two posts).
Next up is the extension onto the barrel of the suppressor. This is a little tricky, as it has to not interfere with the slide of the recoil, the gunsight at the top, or the rail for the laser and flashlight at the bottom. So I've decided on using two panels of aluminum, cut to rough shape. Here's the two panels now!
The gun's front has several lines, stamps, and other markings on it. I knew from the start I wouldn't be able to get all of them on there, not with my current skill set and tools. And while I could have taken the pieces to a machine shop, that'd have cost a decent penny more. So, I limited myself to the horizontal markings, and the 4 vertical grooves on top.
Now we come to the hard part. Drilling the holes in both the gun, and the plates. These have to be exact, not only to fit onto the sides of the pistol, but to be equal both on top and bottom. Measuring is so very important. After drilling the holes I tapped them.
