@SKG & Spartan I am still tweaking them a little bit . Just playing with the colors in between cutting and folding and gluing.

I like the idea of these kill notches a lot! They could signify so many different things, and would directly let others know about you... well, kind of. I also have an idea for a shoulder patch. Once I draw it out in MSPaint, I'll edit this post with it.

Aside from paint jobs on your armor, show off your own individual style here! Add some flare to your armor or clothing with your creations

Here's one decal I'm working on. Please pardon me military, and military savvy people, I'm not all up on my Army jargon, so if I mess up terms and orginazation terms, please don't flail me!

As for the decals, I found a site that sells Water-Slide Decal "paper" for inkjet printers, so some of your ideas can be put to fruition

The patch end of things is a little up in zee air right now.

This is not a design theory thread, so please refrain from critiquing someone's work unless they openly ask for it.
I decided to make some more "fun" decals. So my first up is a "Rise n Shine" campaign for the "Devil Doll" unit, which as you can guess is made up for the Ladies. I like to call us the MSMC's (Ms. Master Chief)

I would probably just use my symbol for H3, a simple white star on a blue background to represent my love of aviation. I could probably come up with some type of unit name and what-not to go with it too.

Don't know if this will be useful in creating some "kill notches" but I'm going to try and grab some hi-res pics of the ones they did for the Warthog, pictured below:

They might be a little big, but I'll grab the pics none the less Should be up early next week.

I'm also working on some notches of my own, nothing fancy, just gouging lines in my right forearm with a knife... nothing beats brute force and ignorance

Hahaha I generally like to avoid slicing myself with knives whenever I use them

As far as my basic notches go... basic doesn't really work with all the other weathering going on they blend in too much... back to the drawing board

Oh yeah, meant to say... there are some really cool patches in here, makes me want to reinstall Illustrator

I was thinking we could do black, white, and maybe grey so they notches will show up on different tones of armor.

When I get around to doing anther version of the notches I was thinking silouhettes of the Covenant soldiers noggins.

Oh, it's a joke Helios I doubt any of us would imply any kind of malice when it comes to that stuff.

I like the idea of differently coloured "kill" notches for the different colouring of people's armour. I think that would work really well.

When you get around to drafting a set of those notches, I'll expect to see some pics SC. It'd be kewl to see some of what we'd discussed come to light, heh

@ helios: Personally, I think the Hunter, Jackal and Grunt notches you have there look best. Not quite sure what you could do for the other three (I know that doesn't help, lol), but you should try revamping those, see what else you come up with.

Just following up on my previous post... as I thought not long after I posted that, they had removed the "kill notches" from the 'Hog so I didn't get any pics of them got tons of reerences of the various UNSC type labels they have on it though

Nice job on that, Fin. I like how you added in the combat knives to make it fit better with the ODST theme. Very kewl.

I plan on having the unedited version of that "UNSC 405th" logo on one of my shoulder plates, and the Legendary logo on the other. I was thinking of putting the official 405th logo in the recessed area between the shoulders on the back.

Btw, what does everyone think of my suggestion for labelling Ash's feminized logo?

Btw, the oddest thought just struck me while looking at it. Where you have "Some text here LOL!!" written underneath the image, maybe we could try inputting "405th MAD CATS", lol.

I know that doesn't make sense at the moment, but let me explain. It's a well-known fact that, for some reason, felines are often associated with femininity (just take a look at our culture; movies, etc.).

As such, I think that would be very appropriate, as it would in some obscure way relate back to the female SPARTANs here but at the same time still sound bad-@$$, heh. Just a thought, anyway...

Anyone think that could work?
