Back again! Halo Spartan Armor Mark VI

Hello All! It's been a long 2 years since my original first post and I figured I would create a new introduction to myself. I looked to join the community to get ideas from the forums and hoping to get advice on builds as part of my motivation comes from seeing others builds and getting criticism on mine, but after moving around a bit I did not find the time to work on anything.

Now Megacon Orlando 2025 is jsut around the corner and I have the itch to cosplay again! Last year I sloppily pieced together my Mark VI armor and was able to rush a paint job and weather it overnight just before 2024 Megacon. I then walked 5 Miles in the armor to attempt to find the Entrance, I swear they move it every year.

The last image is currently the final result from Halloween (I unfortunately was not allowed my props as they were a bit too realistic)
Now I am looking to repad the armor for more comfort and work on weathering as I still look a shiny! I recently found that Hard drive Magnets are insanely strong and can hold my props! I have the thigh piece which I need to blend into the armor and I am working on a way to mount my BR to my back as well!
I'm also looking to fill all the gaps with some kind of material. I stand 6'4 in the armor and the straps with the flat bodysuit really make the armor look bad.

No matter how this armor ends up turning I hope to proudly wear it at Cons and meet new people there.

The armor looks good Spartan, can’t wait to see it at Mega next week! Make sure you comment on the thread and join the discord so you can be up to date!

If you're not looking to comit to a whole under-suit but still want the look of that slick tech suitt under the armour, may I suggest looking ito creating an ab-wrap! It's just a small portion of the under-suit that will wrap around your abdomen section, which is the largest exposed area. Beyond that, increasing the contrast in photos, or at least lowering the shadows will help hide the flat-ness of the texture-less black suit. That's what I did with my suit and it really helps complete the look.
