Mission:
Take 7 specific photos at your next event and post them in this thread. Think of it like a scavenger hunt to do with your 405th friends!

How to Play:
1. Role a d100 dice seven times and record your numbers.
2. Before the convention starts post your numbers in this thread and the event name you are going to..
2. Write down the photo requirements to your corresponding numbers from the list below.
3. Inform your companions the challenges you face for the day.
4. Be kind and courteous to everyone around you as you complete your tasks.
5. Post below starting with the event name and tag all members involved (@forum name)
6. Also in the post include the photos with the number and text next to it from the challenge

Notes:
*If you roll the same number twice you are required to re-roll
*If the task requires a specific costume (ie ODST) that you know you won't have you can re-roll
*If you take a picture of anyone who is not a member please inform them what you are doing and that their picture may appear on 405th.com
*Please no "cherry picking" numbers. If you didn't get the one you want to try playing again!
*Everyone involved (minus the photographer if they don't want to) MUST be in at least one of the seven photos

Group Photo can re-roll if you will have less than 3 costumes.

Costume(s) means specifically in costume
Halo: means it is 405th or Halo related
Anything not designated can be in or out of costume

I'm a little confused on the rules for the dice......rolling 2 d10 dice 7 times......is that for each of the photos or just each roll indicates each photo? if it's for each individual photo, how do you get a #1? or a 21 or higher if the dice can't add up to that value? Again, if it's 7 rolls for each photo, 2 d10 minimum roll totals would be 14. How do we score 1-13? .....I don't have or ever used d10 dice (dice roller online app) so I must be missing something.

You roll a d10 for each digit. E.g. if you roll a 3 and 8, you would use prompt #38

There are 7 photo's / rounds. So you just do the game 7 times.

my dice have the digits 0-9, so 00 would mean 100 (there is no #0 on the prompt board). I believe this is the norm.

Use the 10 when you roll for the first digit as values 1-10, if you roll two 10's that's your 100. Or at least that's how I've always done it.

Well, just think about it. Once you get that printer up and running, you can print a custom d100! And if you lose that die, print another one!

You have to understand.....In my world.....in my community, no one played D&D or any of those types of games growing up......hardly anyone even cosplays outside of the holiday of Purim (Jewish version of Halloween). So I'm completely ignorant of how multi sided dice other than a standard 6d works......(I can kick anybody's ass in Shesh Besh(Arabic).....a.k.a., Backgammon.....been playing since the age of 5) not because I didn't want to, but because I couldn't find anyone to play w/ me......lonely soul.....

You're fine Dirtdives, I don't make the assumption that people have played DnD, know how to use dice, or even what types of dice are available.


For the record you can also do "Hey Google, roll a d one hundred" (or type 'roll a d100' into the search bar). I'm sure siri has something similar.
