Loving the shark concept! Why carbon fiber on the inside tho? You do realize that carbon fiber with resin slathered on is the same weight as fiber glass, right? You have to do the whole vacuum suction process for dry carbon to get the real weight savings and I'm not really sure how you would do that with a helmet made from this technique..

Personally I would do the carbon on the outside if you're still going that route, that way you can has exposed pretty carbon in certain areas, like maybe the shark.

Thanks man i actually just have alot of carbon fiber right
now hence me trying to use it all up even though what you said about the weight i think it should be fine I've already used it in a build like this also i find it a bit better then fiberglass cloth when actually trying to lay it in the helmet anyway thats just my preference :)

Nice! Copperhead helmet is very sexy and you'redoing great job on it! :D

Do you have any plans for more than just the helmet?

And just my opinion, I don't really like markings like the shark but from the color schemes that classic Vale red is most appealing.

Did you already try it on your head?

I agree with CommanderPalmer ! Nice to see people stepping up and doing different armor variants!

Thanks for the comments yeah but as soon as i saw the the copperhead helmet i knew i had to build it reminds me sort of like metroid with maybe a little bit of the recon and odst thrown in
I am considering to build the full suit but i think theirs only foam templates out at the moment so i might wait before someone releases pep files later on or if unfold my own
Haven't fully 100% decided on a paint job yet but i am really liking the red with purple visor and green forefingers in this persons drawing

It was fully wearable before i resined it but i think will have to cut the back neck piece in order to get my head in since its all hardened now :)

Thought I'd do a little update as being quite busy for a con so haven't had time to work on the copperhead
Haha excuse the mess I've had to more into the barn with this bad weather

I did a bit of rondo work inside and a little on the chin and the side helmet pauldrons what ever those are i think i they have enough strength that i wont need to dissect them and fiberglass and i also layed carbon fiber with a slap of epoxy on the inside20161014_134135.jpg
Ohh look a wild Odst has appeared Screenshot_2016-10-16-14-45-56.png

He says while quietly ignoring the T45D helmet in the background...

Awesome work on the pep, you're absolutely burning through these builds.

Thank you sadly that t-45 has seen better days i slapped a bit of left over rondo on but i would like to fix it up at some point ^_^

Did a little bit of bondo work today but couldn't resist hitting it with some primer still i must say this is going to be a big job with all the small details and round edges now i know why people 3d print the majority of halo 5 helmets

progress is rather slow atm on the poor old copperhead i need to get my hands on an electric sander and some more bondo and some more resin as well i think the bottom rear inside could use another coat as its a bit flexible not much resin got on it when i hardened it i am also thinking about 3d printing instead as the front details are going to be a nightmare to bondo :/

While I don't much care for the helmet, it's undeniable that you're doing a great job on it. Keep it up!

I think you're doing a great job. For bondoing the front details, less is more. Use very little bondo. Put it on with your pinky finger or popsicle sticks and then use little files to square them up.
