I know this feeling very well. Just wanted to do some weaponry first, but then got kind of cought on all the propmaking-stuff. I just HAD to do some armor. xD

I will try to make up for the short length by putting in the barrel and seeing if I can work around the fact that it is a little small.

After Long stretches of studying due to Provincial Exams, I managed to get a little more Bondo Work done last night. I am making little progress and taking my time, but i'm sure the amount of time spent on this will pay off in the end.

I Started on the section in Behind the grip.
I am going to leave the basic shape of the grip like this, but still have a lot of work to do.
To secure the Mag inside of the housing, I will be using hard-drive Magnets, which will attach to a dull exacto knife blade in the housing.
Next update wight be in about a week or so. Until then, Lurk around the forums for other interesting threads.

You're Right, a Magazine has a spring mechanism on the inside to feed the rounds toward the firing mechanism. I don't know why I forgot about that, and the way I worded it.

LET THE RESURRECTION BEGIN!
Sorry for the late update guys! I have been VERY busy lately. New semester, new courses, new extracurricular activities, and so on. I have made only a bit little progress since the end of last month (By little, I mean VERY LITTLE.) As of a few days ago, magnets (Those awesome hard-drive ones!
) have been glued to the magazine and the slowly separating layers have been glued back together. As this is not much progress, and I'm feeling a little too lazy to go through the process of posting to Photobucket and embedding the images, there are no pictures of my progress.

Hello fellow 405th members! Over the past few months, my progress has been VERY, VERY slow. Since my last update, which was almost a month ago, I have installed the cocking handle and carved out a cosmetic "Slide". I would have gotten more done, but over the past few weeks I have started to work with pepping shoulder plates, miscellaneous grenades, and other small stuff as a little side project. I am running low on Bondo cream hardener. Scaling to is a huge pain for me, as I have little patience. I am going to need patience if I want some nice armor and a few weapons to go with it! Sorry if I have let anyone down due to a lack of progress pics. There will be pics posted as soon as I get my phone back.

And.... The start of a custom Spartan! Made with 67lb Cardstock and hot glue. I like hot glue because in the case that any seams are messed up, I can re-melt the glue and fix the seam

Good day, fellow 405th members.
new update on my armour today. Second handplate is finished in the pep stage. I have decided to attempt the mark VI helmet. All lines are scoured with the appropriate pen colours for easy line identification. All there is left to do is cut, fold and glue. With any luck, it should be done by Monday.

Yes. Good eye. I was too lazy to make my own. The original trigger was a small piece on the template sheets for the MA5C, and I really, really hate small pieces.

Due to having to strip and re-paint a deck, the helmet isn't anywhere near finished. I managed to get some EVA foam for a great deal. 4 mats (24"x24") for 5!
Expect progress on the buttplate and other small stuff soon.

Unfortunately, I have no new updates today for the helmet. last night, I got started with the shoulder plates,which are of the Mark VI Gen2 Variety. I can never seem to get a clean cut with thick foam, even with a new blade. sadly, I don't have a Hot knife. Here's what I'm at so far.

Last night, I was cutting out the templates and noticed a bump on my upper lip. It has grown to about double the size of my lower lip. Having said that, I will not be at school today in case the problem is an allergy I am unaware of, so I should be able to be productive (Somewhat... I have a pretty bad case of ADD/ADHD, and things that soothe me are things like this. ) ,and therefore I should get something done today.
Also, I noticed this thread is almost up to 2000 views! You guys and girls (and other genders! xD) are awesome! Thanks a ton! You guys and gals (and again, other genders) are really motivating. Loving the support!
