Dev's ARGUS - Linda Build

Hi Everybody!
It's been a WHILE since I posted anything (like yowsa) but I wanted to relay some work that I've been doing on and off for the past year or so.
I just really wanted to begin posting what we’ve done for a friend of mine who is really, really, really into Halo (funny story how we met – at a taco joint, she overheard me talking to my wife about Warthogs ) she's done a Cortana cosplay that’s kickin' with me as well (at the Philly Halo Outpost Discovery) and she totally loves the ARGUS/Linda-058 armor, for Cons, meet ups, etc...
To help her out, I've been 3D printing most of the parts, but also using some foam and other assorted things.

So, I thought hey what the heck - I'd give it a shot. So here's some pics of what I've done so far, as well as us doing a little bit of a trial of wearing some of the armor too.

She moved away (many states) & I'm sure she'll post here asking for some help to put things on, and trying to attach it to an underlayment that she is currently working on. Any questions/help are appreciated!

Here's some pieces, some with the first coat or paint, and then after, with distressing...

ANYwho, I just wanted to start the thread on the build, and will add more! But I really wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Moesizzlac who designed many of the parts :)

AND the Helmet - Holy Cow, what an ordeal - the small lenses for the eyes were totally insufficient - I made the call to open up a 'bridge' between them - there was no way she could see without it....

HAHA OMG yes, many states away!
LOL the story goes like this- I keep to myself when out, this guy and his wife ask if the seats next to me are taken, I say all yours. I hear the guy say 'Halo'...so naturally, I start paying attention, because WHAT are the ODDS...
he says Halo again, I lean over and say, excuse me, are you talking about Halo Combat Evolved?
WHY YES I AM.
and he and his wife gained a new weird friend :)
You cannot forget the covid Lasky jacket adventure!! lol
Anyhow...
He did an amazing job on the prints and the painting btw, the pics really don't do it justice of how it looks in person!! I'll put up a few pics of when I wedged the forearms, thighs, and shins on at Halloween, just to make sure everything still fit ect.
That being said, I found the strapping tutorial, and that was what I needed!. Since I have an undersuit (mock turtle and tights based off Captain Marvel cos patterns mom has)...I was gonna start with strapping then see how fast the complication factor gets bc it's PLA and not foam, so NO stretch. Not sure how I want to address the undersuit lighter armor portion over the abs/spine...
Ignore the headwrap sticking out of the back of the helmet. I was improvising with that and bubblewrap to keep helmet straight!
Thank you all, and I'm looking forward to bringing this to life.

I forgot to add that a 'fun' engineering part is we made the helmet size sufficient to accommodate glasses in case my eyeballs were not having it with contacts on a particular day. Fitting involved printing small slices of the helmet after the slender skull helmet happened lol.
And by fun I mean there were several, 'welp...' *chuck the piece in the box of failure*
