This was the best I could do. I can put on most of the outfit by myself except the shoulders. They just kinda hang there. I also need to make adjustments to the head, can't see anything once the helmet goes on. Legs work great tho!

Ive started painting the armour but I don't have any good photos yet, so here's a painted elite head instead, with the cleanest teeth

I can finally see the finish line. Ran out of paint atm, but a few more coats and this thing will be ready for photos

I'm so shiny

The red I chose was not really accurate to the game, but I wanted it to look more like the CE/Halo 2 colours where the elites were very shiny. I also sacrificed some accuracy and detail for comfort/safety. If I trip and fall, the entire leg can shed off lol.

Honour guard pieces are still in the works. I should have pictures up by next week if everything goes well. I wanted to be greedy and make a 2-in-1 elite costume with both the honour guard and regular elite. Hope it looks good!

This is INCREDIBLE! While the paint is different from the game, the shiny effect is so cool. Also, love the little cheat to get a BOGO on your cosplay.

Also all y'all with your elites are making me want to build one as my one project for next year.

Thanks! That would be awesome if you made an elite. I also got inspired seeing all the elite cosplays and they really helped as references

Here's a better look at the whole outfit. Video is muted cuz the thighs squeak loudly, like nails on a chalkboard loud. Will fix it with matte paint later.

Details are not painted yet and the neck needs major work. I'll have to figure out how to make a new black neck cover with my non-existent sewing skills. I get a headache every time I wear the head and I look like a giraffe. The hat also needs a sponge underneath to stop it from flopping over the eyes. The crocs need to be hidden better. I'll probably add more cloth or plastic to surround them.

I'm quite happy with everything else tho. Took the easy route of wearing a big black sweater instead of making a muscle suit cuz...the sewing. Even got to show off my glamorous unpainted dollar store nails, which are purple and yellow striped atm.

I'm going to try running around outside and testing the mobility limits when I'm not embarrassed lol.
