I am finally working on my first set of armor, I have been too below the age to get a proper job and have finally exceeded that threshold. I am going to be working on my Mark VII suit and will be uploading print pictures and progress pictures of all types here. I hope you guys enjoy.

What I have/have done:
I have a Neptune 4 Plus that I have moderately tuned but need to tune more.
I have Armorsmith and have done the scaling to my body and am on the 29th iteration of tweaking.

I have a slightly similar built to N8TEBB I believe, even though the attached image makes me look much more beefy and shorter than I am, I am also looking for feedback on whether the scale looks proper for coverage and mobility.
Speaking of N8TEBB's built, I also plan on using most of the same files, with the exceptions being Aguilar Workshop's Firefall helmet, Skookum Props' Viator shoulderpad, bicep, and chestplate, along with perhaps the shins and knee.
My final hope for the built is for it too look something like this:

I hope for some feedback and hope you all have a fine rest of your day.

Prep work looks good. As someone who's yet to complete a suit and starting again at pretty much the same point as you. I wish you the greatest of luck and I look forward to the coming updates.

Keep that motivation going and a little advice is if you look at the project as a whole it can be overwhelming at times, but going in sections can make it seem less so. I think that's one of the hardest parts starting out is keeping that motivation and POV that it is possible.

Plenty of help and resources available here in the 405th! Look forward to your progress.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Looking good so far. Just a general rule of thumb, go easy on the infil. When I first started with my Firefall helmet, I printed at around 45%. It weighs about 2-3 Pounds. Not comfy to wear normally, but Its a great display piece. I think standard is anywhere from 10 to 15%.

(Edit)
Also this is good to reference.

This might not be the right place to ask this, but I was wondering how you managed to scale your vambraces. I have printed 2 so far, as I have very lanky and long forearms and large hands, meaning that I can't fit my hands through the wrist section of my vambrace if I make it fit snugly on my forearm, any suggestions?

If you can attempt to modify the model before printing by slicing a wider hole at the problem end that would be ideal. Otherwise if it's close, physical modifications after the print may be needed. Sanding with sandpaper or a file I've seen done, but also using a heat gun to warp or bend to allow hand movement as well.

Thank you for your advice, I am using PETG rather than PLA, but it still shouldn't be too hard to get it to fit me with the heat gun method. Thank you.

Experiment if you have any failed prints or test pieces you can play with. Check often for the pliability of the piece and try not to melt it, good luck!
