1st Build First armor build

Being that it's plastic and that I won't be washing it in hot water, I don't think bleeding will be an issue. It may fade overtime if exposed to sunlight too much, but my only worry is accidentally melting the visor if left in a hot car

Makes sense to me - though, I may experiment with sealed and unsealed to see if it makes a difference. I'm definitely concerned about forgetting a helmet in the car and having the visor melt on me! I'm curious to see how well the color holds over a long period of time.

Been a second. I decided on colors and I'm almost done painting. I've also made one foam inner thigh as well, and have begun attaching a couple small things

Finished the boots and finishing up painting. Just have to add the secondary colors to the helmet and clear coat the chest and thighs and then I can focus on strapping. If anyone has tips on attaching the harness to clamshell chest pieces that I'll also have a foam inner chest, id greatly appreciate seeing how you handled it. The chest is from titlewave of that helps.

In full con crunch mode, I've put foam in the bracers, biceps and shins, I still need to finish the visor, pad the helmet, strap the belt, make a foam inner thigh and inner chest and attach the shoulders to the biceps. We'll see ...

Well, I'd call that a success! Lots of things broke over the weekend but cosplay medics came in clutch. I plan to continue iterating on the armor at a much more sustainable pace as using all my free time for 5 months straight was not healthy.

The whole Con was fantastic this year!

My daughter and I have begun the process. We WILL be there ... ok we are planning to be there in Full Halo gear...
The printer arrived about a week ago and I just orders another 2kg of filament
