well when you hop on with halo 4 add me on live GT is Spartansonny :)

That looks like the flying squirrel HD - right? I'm working on the same one, almost ready to put it all together. I'm glad you asked about the support struts & whether to use the visor or not - I had the same questions. Great work - look forward to reading about how the rest of your armor goes!

Take your time and use the pen and exacto for your lines, will make it much better, easier, and nice and clean folds.

When I get online I'll look you up...If I dont get my a** kicked first.;)

Yes you are right...flying squirrel's HD. I liked it better. I did put all the struts in, no visor with no issues. And thanks.

Your fibreglassing work looks really good. Ive done a fair bit of fibreglassing work over the years. Boats and repair type stuff. A helmet here and there lol. But your helmet looks fantastic. You pep work is nice and clean and your fibreglassing technique looks good. I'll be lurking around somewhere hoping, like a few others i imagine, to see a full suit.

Whoa... this is really good!

Thanks very much Viper.

Skullptura, thanks. Done a few fibreglass projects myself, this is my first time with the small pieces, worked out ok.

Well guys, just started the bondo the other night, so when I get further along I will post the progress.
As always thanks for looking,

Andrew.

I'll be using your fiberglass tips as well as the one for straightening the visor and your bondo/resin mix. Just for clarification, it was 12oz bondo, 3 oz resin & hardener in the recommended proportions for each?

Yes, you are correct found it to be a nice pourable mixture. When I did the last later over the fibreglass, same mixture and brush it in and into the crannies.

Ok guys thought you might like to see where I am at with the bondo. And I'll show you a trick(although probably aready been done). Sorry for the poor pics had to take with phone as camera was not cooperating.

Always easier to work in sections.

Here is the trick I was talking about. With mine I did a rondo/fibreglass/rondo interior, so I had the thickness. If you take your dremel or sander and cut down the peaked part of the pep(as seen in the two above pics)...you will use alot less bondo smoothing out. If you cut through the paper no big deal, it is gonna get a coat of bondo anyway. For the most part I am cutting through on the peaks but the bondo work is alot less. I just found this easier this way. Would of had more done but it was a football weekend.;):D

Hope this gives some ideas and as always thanks for looking.

I have the same problem with skyrim... start playing it and sleep packs up and leaves......

Helmet looks great! Good bondo work
