Gear Up with Halo: Crafting the Fractured Colony Armor!

Hey Cosplayers

Are you ready to dive headfirst into the depths of Halo lore with me? Great! Because I’m embarking on a mission to recreate the iconic armor and history of the Fractured colony from the Halo franchise. Join me on this journey as we 3D print some epic gear and choose a color scheme that’ll make even the Covenant do a double-take.

Here's the lowdown on the armor we're tackling:

- **Energized Plate Armors**: These bad boys are issued to the UNSC's elite EAGLESTRIKE. Think radiation-proof, harsh environment-resistant, and perfect for when you need to look snazzy while dodging Covenant arcanotechnology.

- **Helmet (Brodie)**: Worn by the legendary Northam Volunteers. It's basically the I’m with the UNSC statement piece that says, Come at me, Covenant!

- **Visor**: Modeled after the Scarlet Hunter. Perfect for those moments when you need to channel your inner UNSC morale promoter and throw shade in style.

- **Shoulders (Type 1 Defender)**: These mass-produced pauldrons are every frontline soldier's best friend, offering a slight upgrade from I’m gonna get hit to I might just make it.

- **Twin Teeth Attachments**: Inspired by the UNSC subculture, where knives and blades are practically a love language.

As for the cores and pads? Well, we’re still in brainstorming mode on those. But stay tuned, because updates will be rolling out faster than you can say Flamethrower!

Throughout this project, I’ll keep you posted on all the shenanigans, mishaps, and victories. Expect plenty of updates as we build, print, and maybe even break a few things along the way. It’s gonna be a wild ride, and your input is what makes it all the more fun.

So, there I was, knee-deep in color swatches and chemistry books, all in the name of creating the ultimate Brodie Armor for you cosplay aficionados.

I started by experimenting with four different colors, each one inspired by the glamorously harsh reality of long-term exposure to toxic chemicals and enemy fire. Let me tell you, deciding between Toxic Avocado and Chemical Sunset was harder than choosing a Netflix show on a Friday night.

I also decided to jazz things up by adding copper leaf to certain sections of the armor, giving it that rugged, I’ve-been-through-heck-and-back look. Sticking with the theme - i added chemicals to the copper; to give it that armor equivalent of that one pair of jeans you refuse to throw out.

But enough about my trials and tribulations—I want to hear from you!
