I think i see what you're saying. On my difficult pep builds i find it is easier to locate the hardest part of the file first and work on getting that piece perfect before putting the rest of the piece together. That way you don't get sidetracked by a piece that is hard to put in after you already built almost the entire helmet.

It's not necessarily that I've having trouble adding the combination of those pieces into the helmet but rather, attaching them to each other. That rectangular protrusion on the top along with the surrounding area outlined by the detail grooves has incredibly small folds. Not sure what can be done about it, I think i might just kind of jam the piece in and glue it, then just build bondo over it and add the detail later.

Also, as for the thigh pieces, I half-agree about the "scales" on the inner thigh being troublesome if they were to be a solid part of the pepakura piece but I still think they should be redone to incorporate that one part that wraps around at the bottom of the thigh piece in order to give builders a better estimate of how big the "scales" should be when they make their underarmour or whatever part they plan to integrate the "scales" into. Not trying to be demanding or anything, just think the community could benefit from some redone thigh pieces :) .

Also, thanks to fett man again, the gauntlets look better each and every time I come to check on this thread, hope someone unfolds it soon!!

Not trying to step on anyone's toes, here, but may I make a request for parts?

SKG and crew certainly made a good set of Weta ODST models, and alot of the parts in the Halo 3: ODST can just be recycled from them. But there was one part that irked me, and those were the shoulders, or lack thereof. True, they were modeled for Weta's suits, but the Weta and in-game suits are totally different. It might be easy to overlook these:

I know they look like they could be done with foam, but a hard file might work better.

Since more or less all of the new ODST files are pepped, is anyone willing to do this?

Someone suggested that a Molle vest can be used and I'm inclined to agree:

Last night, 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Pepping Busa Chest, Got the idea for just using backpack straps, going on 3 hours of sleep, still working on Skip's Full Chest Busa. O.O

If you wan to cheep out, Walmart has plenty of bags with straps that would look good for 10 - 15 dollars.

They are located by the dressing rooms most of the time, near the purses and other stuff that isn't clothes, but is still in the middle of the store as if they were, If not, you just have to hunt the backpacks down, but it will save you some money.

I was thinking the same thing! The vest is good but I'm too cheap.

Easy on the post button Rookie. XP

I'm seeing triple, You may wanna delete 2 of those posts before a mod comes after you, Or worse yet.... Nightshade *ominous music*

anyway, yea, any gray/black bookbag with straps that have 'lines' sewn in them should do, heck, if you know how to sew, you can just sew the lines on yourself and save even more money.

the good thing about the molle vest though is that it provides places to attach the armor pieces. If you got a backpack just for the straps, not only are you wasting a perfectly good backpack, but you're also having to spend more cash trying to figure out how to actually attach your pieces to your undersuit. Just my 2 cents

Yes, Well For many people that would be the case, But I have an extra backpack that is too small, and is covered in clips and such, I got it at spencers right before school started on sale and used it, then got a new on the next year, and It's nice and small.

Your 2 cents are still valued, just to let you know. =] If I had money, I would get the Molle Vest, but I own my folks almost 90 dollars already in cardstock, resin, fiberglass, spraypaint, bondo, sandpaper, and I'm about to get expanding Foam, MORE Cardstock, and Resin, and Spray paint, cause I'm out of the first two and I need yellow and Purple for my armor. Plus I may need money for a visor for my helmet, If I don't do a busa bucket, so I'm broke. XP

And some people have it worse then I do with money. I get 5 dollars a week to pay my folks back, So people who get NOTHING may need a cheep way to make the straps. =D

um all the files look great but i was wondering if anyone could post all of the final files somewhere because i looked through the thread but im not sure if i have the latest one

All the finished Files are up on the first page, any others that may be better for you or easier, Etc. are somewhere around 3-4 pages back, so I suggest you just go back 5 pages, and skim through for Pics and Links.

Hmm, Well, I didn't see that coming, XP.

City has those colors in his picture, and his sig has those faces in blue, so I figured it May be him.

ok, i just found a huge problem with the Mollie Vest. If you watch the trailers and pictures, the upper chest piece is totally seperate from the rest of the armor. Unless the soulder straps can come off from the front, it wont be authentic.
