Halo 3: Odst - Pepakura Armor

Since I haven't posted here in awhile, I think I should give my 2 cents. Ok, so I looked at both side by side and I really think that the first one is more accurate. Go by the game, not by someone's interpretation of the game.

This is my first post on this thread, and before I say anything, I just want to say you guys are all doing an AMAZING job at modeling and unfolding all this stuff, and I would love to help in anyway that I can.



I've started prepping my armour, and I'm pretty sure I've gotten all my files from here.



I'm just wondering two things, is there a download of the Pouch V2 floating around anywhere by any chance?

And is there any news on the new version of the Dutch helmet? I really liked Rundowns version, but it seemed.. To skinny? Maybe I'm wrong, don't hesitate to corrent me if I am!

Yep, I sure can and I've updated the unfold to something that "I" like better. Harding29's unfold is great but I had one hell of a time trying to fit the center piece. Really frustrating but then that might just be my technique. I am also updating my unfold of the ODST Optican Medical pack. I've mostly worked on the flaps to make them more sensible as there are more flaps than what is actually needed. So I have merged some flaps by making them touch. I built the original one and I liek it but it's not because it's good that it doesn't need improvement. Nightshade, sorry to point this out but i think the shoulders need updating.

I've attached a picture with the edges of the shoulder compared to your (awesome btw) current one.

The bottom half of it could do with a total redesign i think and the top half should be folded on the large "ear".

Another new poster here, just want to say you guys are doing a fantastic job. I've started peping my odst armor with a friend, though I seem to be missing a few pieces. I've gone through every page on this thread, but I may have missed one or two things.

Missing pieces of mine.

I haven't found the green piece at all in this thread, so if anyone has it I'd appreciate it being posted again.

I'm assuming the blue is just a specialized vest

And I'm sure the red is just a pouch Buck has instead of a backpack.

Ahh, thanks a lot! I was worried I would have to make up the green piece on the fly.

well its just the torso u can just go and buy a vest since thats a soft armor piece

i just have a couple question i need answered. does anyone have anything for the side piece that goes above the hip plates, and does anybody have any recomendations for magnets. i want to have magnets in my laser and backpack so i dont have to ruin them with velco. the side plates im talking about sit blow the ribs and above thip hip.

I have done abit of research regarding magnets and have found the Neodymium magnets are both small and strong. You'll also need 3 anchor point in both the armour piece and the weapon so it doesn't spin while its holstered.

They have lots of varieties on ebay or if you search neodymium magnets on google there would probably be plenty of specialised retailers. Less then $20 for a pack of 10? It depends on the size really.

there is a more game accurate boot some where on this thread i just dont remember what page, but the shin is the weta one
