Halo 4 Helmet Request Thread

Well I was in a crummy mood to be honest with FINALS coming up and stuff blowing up everywhere.

Oh yeah, also forgot my phone in my locker so really worried I might have annoyed my friends by not responding to the hundreds of texts I exchange to them. Sigh.

I didn't want to disturb anybody :/

Gee how stressed will I be in the future... parenting worries me

Just something to note with these references: the boots and handplates are different depending on which legs and forearms you have equipped. Not sure which legs you had for the boot reference pics. The handplates I assume are those that come with the inner-plated forearms being referenced here.

I've mentioned it before on several threads but it's worth repeating: don't take anything for granted as "standard" in Halo 4 except for the undersuit, which aside form the basic bodysuit consists of cod and spine padding, the"inner shoe" (what the hard armor pieces attach to in the reference pics) and the individual fingertip and knuckle pads. That's about the extent of al lthat is "universal" this time around. Each leg option consists of lower back/butt plates, upper leg/thich, knee, shin, and boot pieces. Forearms also include unique hand plates and elbow plating for each option. Each chest piece has it's own distinct shape, very different from Reach and Halo 3 models which had a simple "base" chest piece with the variants consisting of add-ons attached to the base model. Even the shoulders each have their own bicep cuff piece. There's even variance to the armor ability modules depending on whether they're classified as UNSC, Covenant, or Forerunner. While this does help make each armor variation that much more unique, it's also hell on the modelers who are tirelessly trying to meet constant requests from the community as well as their own personal choices, and ambitiously to fill the database with the entire armory if they can manage it.

Reference pics like this are a great help, but a few more details in the description will make them better, such as which armor classification is being shown. Labeling the shoulders as Warmaster and the chest as Air Assault is helpful. Legs and arms need to be a bit more specific.

Even though it's meant for foam, here is the warrior here. it also comes with an abdominal piece, and its on my list.

I don't have orbital shoulders though, if I can remember I can notify you when it comes out

I have just send a collection of reference pictures and video images to an dear animator friend of mine. Hopefully he can produce a nice working model of the Defender helmet....not...that any one cares....about..the......defender .....helmet....*sigh*

I will let you know when and if he can do it.

hey i'm sure there are other people who share your fondness for the defender helmet. I actually would be interested in it. i actually want to make as many of the Halo 4 Helms as possible, i have already pepped the warrior and soldier helms and am working on the wetwork and locus helms now. i would definitely like to add the defender helm to my collection.

Oh and Pappa Midnight, BIGHARYSCOTSMIN has the soldier helm from SATCHMO III in the Halo 4 organizer and it is in the 405th file database.

Ohh, I was tempted to use the Warrior one.
The issue I have is now that my youtube channel is starting to take off I cant change my game armour cause my subs know me. Which means if I were to make a suit I'd like it to be the same so I could make some video with it.
And still no word from my mate :/
I blame the 12 hour time difference.

Yeah, it's someone else's concept art - but I reckon it matches the H4 design aesthetic reasonably well. That, and we need ODST helmets.

hi everyone, i was wondering if someone had or can make when the have the time a halo 4 masterchief helmet low definition??? youst like the spartan 4 or recruit and demon that they are low def and easy to build??? because harnors halo 4 helmet is youst insane haha its lovely when built but i like ld because i can put the details with foamies instead of pepping them. i know that most of you have seen it but i will post some refrence pics of it if you are willing to make it when you have time. it would be awesome to have this helmet.
