Halo Energy Sword: Gold to Midnight

After all the help I got, I figured I would make a thread on this. I decided to make a Pepakura Energy Sword, starting on the day Halo 4 went Gold, and then taking it to the midnight launch, when I pick up my Limited Edition, Yup, nerdiest thing I've ever thought of. Still doing it.
I've got a vid of the first foray into building. Gotta say, I started, and just can't stop! It is SO fun! All I managed to video was cutting before my HDD failed. Aw.
26 days to go, almost done building!

Are you planning on leaving the final product fiberglass/bondo'd pepkura?, or are you going to vacuum form it to add LEDs?

I'm curious what you had in mind for the gold midnight sky paintjob.

Basically a matte gold at the very tips, a dark blue/black with stars/silver Forerunner symbols near the handle, with a fade from one to the other in the middle. I'm going classic because that's the paint I have.

UPDATE: I fiberglassed it today. 2 oz of resin is a LOT. Oops. It's not the best, and the near-handle tips are a bit curved. The whole sword is a little wonky, but it is my first build. Bondo tommorow!
