Okay so I know this is a slight Necro-post but I though I should share this. So when I first saw this I knew I had to make one, but it quickly spiraled out of control into an insaine mini project that is still not complete. ;)
I started with a tester that, well lets just say I didn't like it. so I re made one like this.

as you can see it is a little dinged up but I lost the photos from when I first started it and this is after I molded it... speaking of which-

(Before we move on let me say that I knew how I wanted to make this from the start... and I still will, once I can figure out how to do it exactly:))

-Next I went and made a mold of the badge wit some Silicon Rubber that I have had sitting around for a few months... ya never actual had a use for it until now.

As you can tell the top piece is a little thin and it is very rough, partly because it wasn't the best cast and also the original was rough around the edges. I am about to make one more, hopefully with a thicker back and one that fills in a little better but only time will tell how well this will turn out.

Ultimately I am going to get some sticker paper and finish it off with some decals and then on to my next one, a metal cast! I will post more as I make them.

Nice job guys...
Good luck Zero Prime, I cant wait to see how your idea turns out and don't worry about the necro'ing, the last guy to post was like 2 weeks prior, also for this topic I actually expect Necro posting...

Here is my initial version of a UNSC ID card, pictured with Dr. Halsey's card from the Halo: Reach - Legendary Ed.

White and semi-transparent stickers on both sides of a 1/8" piece of lexan, dremelled and hand-sanded. The back includes a (discarded) trimmed SIM card. Both side were then covered with wide clear packing tape, to project the printed ink from getting damaged.

NOTE: The ONI logo was actually printed reversed on a semi-transparent sticker, and then stuck on the back. When viewed from the front, this provided some depth and almost simulates a holographic look!

This was definety a cool project. Its the little things that make the you ever more convincing when in-character.
