haha gotta love robot chicken
Just as long as M Night Shamalan stays very very far away from the movie i think it will be ok lol
I think Jackson has a MUCH better chance at a succeeding film than Spielberg. Spielberg tends to make for the masses and has gone so far mainstream that, in my opinion, he has lost most of his fan appeal. I'd say that if he has any creative say in the film, it will be a piece. Not a big Spielberg fan anymore.
I do enjoy him spending his money at my workplace though. Uh....my apologies MR. Spielberg. Keep the big budget movies coming.
I think if anyone can make it happen it will be Spielberg. Look at all of his past movies. Jaws, E.T, The Indiana Jones series, Jurrasic Park, and Saving Private Ryan. All amazing movies in my book. Thats only some of them. I think if he sticks to the novels it will be EPIC. A live action Halo movie (if it is one) will be very hard to make. But I think he can pull it off. But picture this. What if him and george Lucas where to team up again. Spielberg's good story lines and Lucas's amazing imagination would more then likely blow peoples minds in the Halo movie. If one is made.
If Lucas got on board... I might just shyt bricks!
Lucas has said that he's not going to do work for anyone else's ideas anytime in the near future. Besides, he's too busy trying to get the new Star Wars live action TV series out of Development Hell <_<
But agreed, Spielberg + Lucas = awesome.
Just as long as Lucas isn't writing the love scenes ._.
Sorry to jump in on this again... But lucas is better when working an original Idea... not when working off of another. Just my 2cents
Spielberg's writing and a bit of his Movie magic would bring quite a nice bit to the screen, but my Opinion would have to go with Uwe Bowl (If that's how his name is spelled) and or James Camerron (I'm talking more along the screen style of Avatar and Abyss). Both great Camerron flicks. I'm not up on Hype about Avatar either, I just like the way camerron views things.
If Camerron were to do a Halo Movie or a rendition fron both the game and the Books. I believe he would show us the view from Different sides of the War and story lines.
I would totally be up to Writing to James Camerron and ask him what his idea of a Halo movie would be. Whats the worst he can say besides "No Comment".
I'm up for it, are you?
Halo movie, as long as they do it right I may actually go and pay to see this. Most movies aren't even worth the time to download and see if they are worth paying for.
Hopefully halo will be different. no stupid crummy CGI bullcrap, the guy who directed and produced AVATAR should be doing halo... that movie's graphics were AMAZING..
For the record, Avatar was obviusly CGI. It was just professionally paired with real world elements, which also enabled the awesome factor.
Still think that if it's a Halo movie, it (could) be a series, starting off with the Fall of Reach with Red Team, then the discovery and destruction of Installation 04, the Skirmish of the Unyeilding Heirophant, the events of Halo 2 AND 3. Kind of a broad selection, i know, but the Chief does need to show up. We know now that he is his own person, as per the novels and the graphic novel series' of TFoR and Uprising.
And come on... Spartans in action. We all want to see that, and the Squidlies that try to shoot at them.
We'll see this movie in 12 years, just like DukeNukem.
for those who say they have a problem not showing his face...those people are foolish.
one name. Darth Vader.
He is so iconic that even though I am not a "fanboy" just watching the originals and seeing him enter a room, his mere presence and voice makes him steal the scene.
Master Chief could use the same voice actor, anytime we would see his face its just out of frame or something is in the way(on purpose )...all we need is to see his body motions and here his voice...and he will steal our hearts. That simple.
The biggest problem with that comparison is that Vader is NOT the protagonist. If we never saw Luke's face, Star Wars wouldn't work. Also note that they finally did reveal Vader's face in the original trilogy to top off the moment when we were supposed to be empathizing with him. You need viewers to empathize with the hero a lot sooner than that.one name. Darth Vader.
