Halogoddess's Hayabusa Build

Hey guys! I know it's been a LONG time since I have done anything for this. XD I would also like to thank those that gave me the "congrats" for being featured. I thought that was pretty cool myself! :D

Anyway, I have FINALLY started back up on the project since I still have some pepping to do. I decided to try again on the hayabusa shoulders. I changed the unfold of the original since I did not like how they ended up being hollow. And since I would hate to post an update, even as tiny as it is, I feel the need to post some pictures. :p

Looking through some of the other WIP threads is kind of what got me motivated to start working on my stuff again. :p

Nice to see that those shoulders are actually possible to make at all. I was debating making a set from scratch in Max to pep myself, but seeing this makes me wonder if I shouldn't just fight through the pain.

I would just stick it out and if you know how to unfold, you can just try and make it so that it is easier to build. The first time I tried it, I didn't like how it was hollow.

Also, there is a part of the file that was messed up (missing a tab) and some of the areas just don't seem to want to line up properly. Hopefully, it can easily be covered once the bondo gets applied. As I am typing this, I have a full shoulder complete. I am starting on the other side now. :)

Hence why I wanted to re-model the shoulders. They're good, but I think that a better job might be done if they were at least re-geared for assembly.

In which case: I'll work on a set for you personally. If you like them, I'll put them up for download.

Looks good bout next time you take pictures. Have a shirt on some of us chidilins (childrens) dont need to see that kinda stuff.

True, but then if it falls within the forum guidelines it's generally accepted as kosher. Acceptable risk, etc.

Of course, the shoulders will NOT lay so flat like they are shown in the picture. When they are finished, they will look different than what you see here. :)

Wow this build is really coming along. Looks like you have the bottom parts and now the top part pretty much done. And again your scale looks right on. Great job.

Any idea of when your going to begin hardening your peps? Looks like the Helmet is resined... maybe?

Jeez girl, that's just bad@$$ looking! Fantastic work... this looks like it's going to be one of my favorite Hayabusa suit here on the forums.

Really looking good! :)

Chapeau! Looking most excellent! I have been waiting for updates on the thread forever! I was excited about the little one you had but this last one is fantastic!!!!!! Love that you let the ponytail fall out the back of the helm, I say leave it that way. Not exactly accurate, but hey, I think it looks great! Too bad you have to wait for the weather to warm up to resin and what not. Its killer just staring at your pep work and not being able to do anything about it. Keep us posted on your progress, I know we are all loving this one!

THAT IS AWESOME!!! (Like, especially the last pics!). I love how this is coming along. Can't wait to see more progress!

PS - Those shoulder additions look really nice!

i just have one thing to say to this build: HOLY FREAKING CRAP THAT IS A FREAKING NICE JOB !!!!!

great job on all the folds, and the sizing looks 100% PERFECT. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing the finished product of this build. :)
