I spent 9 hours walking around the city yesterday with a friend, looking into places and asking if they're hiring. Nothing. Zilch. Some of them had to let people go as well. I'm starting to think I'm gonna become a housewife. Does not bode well for my self-esteem, especially seeing how I'm the only one without a job in the house. "How was work today?", "We'll get you started for driving lessons next week.", etc etc and none of those directed to me, sitting quietly in a corner, feeling totally out of place
I guess the bigger the country, the more visible problems are. Croatia seems to be doing fairly alright. Just my luck, to move to UK when the world's coming down.

I've been lookin for a job since November. Got fired from my last one which took me a year to find. No one wants to hire on part time positions and everyone seems to want 30+ hours each week from anyone who applies. Basically, it f*cks us college kids over hardcore cuz we're the ones who really need the money and we're getting screwed cuz we can't work. It's unfortunate that we can't scream discrimination on this.

When I graduate if I still can't find a job I'm just gonna be a mercenary. The pay is better anyway.

Better get some Military Skills Behind you, getting hired on to a PMC (Private Military Company) Is highly competitive and most require at least four years as a Police Officer SWAT Team Member or Military Combat MOS. Even then the UN is trying to make it illegal for any country to hire Military Skilled Soldiers in rolls other then training said countries own Military. Not to mention most companies require you to pay for your own overhead. Trust me a lot of the (great) paying PMC Jobs have started to dry up.

Whoa, didn't realize it was getting this bad! Then again, it's like my Economics teacher told us, we're in the south, we're in a constant recession, so we don't get affected that bad... xD

Probably will end up in Columbia working for the guerrillas in the dry season & working for the Columbian Police in the rainy season. Flop back and forth like.

Besides, the US Government is always looking for unregistered personnel to do "secret" jobs for them. That way if the guys die then they don't get blamed cuz how can the US hire people that "don't exist" anyway?

Nope, the economy just sucks, but hey, im 13! Everything sucks, well except you know, 405th.com and wiki, life xbox , tv , computer, starcraft . halo halo 1 , halo 2, halo 3 , halo 3: recon , the halo trilogy "of books" ... and a lot more... but you know... it happens...

Actually, there are three books in the series, but there is also Ghosts of Onyx and Contact Harvest. Sorry about being a smart-ass, but I got nothing better to do. I work at my parents' sporting goods store, so I could care less about the economy.

So I am going to be putting my excellent military skills to use!!!! I think I got a job as a night auditor at a local hotel. I sent my resume in to some Private/Executive Security, (Body Guard) Law Enforcement and a few of the PMC's out there still operating over seas. received a few phone calls but no one is hiring. But I was told to be on call because they could be looking at any time. So for now, im stuck in a job I know people are going to be rude, and it is going to take every ounce of my discipline not to hop over the counter and teach them a lesson in Respect!

No need to hop the counter, just do a basic grab and slam (grab the hair and slam the nose on the counter) That'll learn 'em!
