You don't need a password to scale the model. However, you need to click on the Unfold button first. Only then can you scale it.

theres information in these forums about scaling if you need help. somewhere there is a cool scaling program that is really easy to use, you just need to know your height

Not for a guitar model... :-D
Just inputting the desired length is probably the best way to do this.
