Does anyone know how to get this chrome finish? I've also seen it done on the prop relica forums.
I really need to know because I'm working on Mark 5 iron man suit which is silver and red.

My local Wal-Mart carries both gold and silver chrome spray paint, i think each can is about $3.00. I think both Krylon and RustOleum have their versions of the chrome spray paint, but I'm not sure of the quality of the paint. *note* Just decided that if that paint works out well, I want to make a chrome helmet. :D

GO WITH ALCLAD! IT is amazing stuff. You will need an airbrush though. I believe you first spray a coat of gloss black (enamel) and polish it out. Then lay on the alclad. I've never used it, but I've seen it on models. BEST metal-paint ever. Forget the wal-mart rattle-cans, it won't get the best result. I thought about using Bare-metal foil, but because of the curves involved, you'd never be able to pull it off. Good luck!

Well, if you're looking for a cheap method that gives fairly good results, you could get some Krylon spray paint (they're a good brand) and buy their metal chrome paint. You could then paint a high gloss clear coat on it too to make it rreflective.

It should look like this:

But for the love of Halo, do not forget the glossy clear coat or it wont look reflective.

I am so paintin my remote now.
just follow up my steps

check my work with NO NAME chrome paint, the secret lies in the prep...
