hey hugh, i always love seeing the molding process! im still learning about it and your pictures help
even though your not keeping that colour scheme it looks pretty rad!
Hey Hugh. I finally got around to messing with the chest core and chest packs. The unfold of the core should actually work pretty well. I just moved some things around, attached some parts together, and added flaps to some of the fill in areas in the neck and arm openings. You can get the chest core at: http://www.4shared.com/file/PG5qZ-oN/ODST_Chest_by_Hugh_Holder_mksh.html
I didn't mess with anything on the shoulder. I built two versions, one full size and one reduced, and the unfold that you had done worked out really well.

This is great, thanks man. I'm going to replace these on the front page then.
Btw: did you get that message I sent you about some of the other armor parts?
@Zero202: Thanks Zero! I'll link that to the front page as well.
@AceNat: Thanks a lot. I'm not quite sure why more people don't show the molding process. For me it doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to get the job done. I have two test painted helms I'm going to end up getting rid of (pics in a bit) I finally found some gun metal gray paint that I will try out for my armor when it arrives.

Hey Matt really nice unfolds you have made and i have build the shoulder from hugh to and its a great and easy to pep unfold.
Btw how i can scale it right?!(I know there is an tut from Xtreme Taktics)
Currently making the mold for the chest core. Going to finish that up this afternoon and work on the chest plate and other parts. Got the fourth pull this morning. It's the first pull using 320 instead of Roto. It's definitely lighter and requires less coats to get the desired coverage, but I'm still not sure if I like it yet. And that lame striped helm was another paint test. Still was not the droid I am looking for...
@Hugh: always a pleasure to help out with the unfolding. In regards to the other parts, if you sent it to me via pm, I think its still down. You can shoot me an email or give me a call if you want. All of the molds/pulls are coming along great!! And regardless of what you may think, the striped theme on the one helmet is pretty unique. What color did you use as the base on that? It almost resembles a bronze.
@Zero2o2: when you are taking these particular armor parts into consideration, your best bet would be to use Hugh's overall armor image as a base. If you can get good visual reference where the shoulder needs to sit according to the model, you can determine what size you need to fit your individual body type.
Not sure what paint it is, I'm looking at the cap and it just says "Cap indicates color." Lazy much?
It's one of the tiny 'Short Cuts' brand of Krylon paints. It was the closest thing they had to a dark gray at Hobby Lobby. I'm not sure why, but the HL here has a pretty sad selection of paint, unless you want your odst armor to glow in the dark or be magnetic...
By the way. I updated the front page again. Made it a bit easier to get the files with. And I put your unfolds on there Zero so you have your own place for files now
Wow Hugh, The helms look amazing, like actually. And the striped one...If I may use that painting scheme, I think im going to use, cuz dang that looks awesome.

Not to break any rules on the forums regarding trade/sales outside of the classifieds; I will say that I am not doing this project to make profit. I'm more interested in trades, especially to other members using my files to build
I'm only doing helm pulls right now as a way of learning the process, and I most likely will look at selling/trading off the 'guinea pigs' in the future. If it came down to selling or doing commissions offline I will say that I am more than likely only going to deal with members here on this thread that I trust, have communicated with, and who I feel aren't out to rip me off.
It's just how I like doing things. I would like members to feel like I have a sense of integrity when it comes to sales and trades on the forums.
When I am ready to make the helm available for other members I will post a thread selling off the extra buckets then an interest thread on the classifieds to do a small run. Though honestly, I would hate doing a 'run' and would rather just make these things individually as time permits.
So basically, just keep an eye on the classifieds. When that time comes feel free to contact me.
Thanks man, I love your N6 and Azriel thread. You are very talented. Keep doing that concept art, that skillset is very handy.
I'm glad you like the files, which parts are you using?
@almostanangel851
Thanks! Good luck on your Spartan armor! I quickly skimmed over the WIP shots, but seeing as how I'm at work I was worried the Mjolnir cleavage might get me in trouble lol so I'll comment later.
the helmet looks great right now. What are you going to do for the visor cause from what i can see right now i can in vision that it is going to be amazing. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see the entire suit done.
Great job! I couldn't even do that well in my dreams...well. Anyway just wondering what forearms did you use, they look good and I want to use them on my build.
