Man i lived like 15 minitues away from league city on the map. I never knew there were so many people in one aera
 
well not that I was going to evac anyways (4day weekend) but I thought this would help take the edge off yet another mandatory evac in the southeast texas region

my gosh i just got done with gustav, they said that adams county was the most destroyed town in mississippi ! we had transformers and all kinds of things laing out in the street. im not picking up sticks for ten hours again. the funny thing is everytime i hear texas or something about texas i remember my fellow 405th members there! someone call chuck norris to fight ike down, back to which he came!!! hopefully ya'll wont be swimming to school. :D

i know we've had 2 in the last 2 weeks (including this one if it hits us) this sucks, im sueing the hurricane!!!!!

Yep... I lived near Town Center in Kingwood... I live in Fall Creek now... I drive right by there all the time. I get my hair cut right down the road at J-Thompson... I love the Double Dave's thats right in the shopping center at 1960 and West Lake Houston....

In fact... I am about 6 miles from there right now... Small world....

Yeah small world indeed, i can actually walk to double daves from my house, considering its the first street in the Atasca South.

As for ike i think itll probably hit a littler earlier than tomorrow night, it looks like its going a little faster

hello all, its been awhile since ive been on and alot has been going on at school...

As most of you may know there is a Catagory 3 hurricane coming on the coast so far of Galveston, Texas... im nowhere near the cost but im in the 100-125 mph wind region. The rainfall should be about 4-7 inches of rain. My backyard is going to be distroyed most likely, and my parents have boarded up all of the windows.We sadly are staying in the house durring the storm... currently my house is pretty stocked up of food so im ok for that...

Please if you can and or care could pray to keep my house in one shape, and or my family and i alive , and to fellow texans in the hurricane zone, god be with you , or the force (whatever you choose)
 
#1. I hope you're house is made of concrete or you will have no roof at 125mph winds.
#2. There is already an Ike topic, so I'm merging this.

Honestly I'd take a hurricane over a tornado anyday, Atleast with a hurricane you have a warning, tornados usually give you no warning at all.

Thing is... with Hurricane... Tornadoes are spawned off them all the time... many many tornadoes can come off a hurricane once its over land...

jk, we are getting a fairly large front at us right now, but its not as twisty and turny as a hurricane.
