Hiya! Shoulda done this the day I joined, but.. better late than Never!

First off, you may call me Syl, Xero, or whatever works for you. I hail from a part of the world where 'Sunny with a chance of armageddon' could be considered a real weather condition. In other words, Northwest Louisiana. Like a small percentage here, I'm female, and like all of you here, am an AVID gamer I've been gaming since I was 5 years old.

I got into costuming early on as well, making all manner of things from household items. Mardi Gras beads, trash bags, paper bags, cardboard boxes- you name it, I used it. I've never had plenty of space to do my production, until recent when I moved into a new house with my brother. Its garage was turned into a workshop years ago and makes a perfect place to safely do all my work!

I'm new to playing Halo proper. I've known about it for years but never cared to invest my time or money into the series. But I got Reach and well.. I wound up here. S'how it goes of course. I absolutely love the armor designs in Reach, and the female spartans are so friggen -hot-. I've never made armor quite like this prior to my exposure to these forums. Before Halloween I tried to make a full set of Armor. I got very close but weather interfered.
Now I'm working on a Sangheili suit. not posting details here since this is an Intro thread.

Either way, I'm glad to be amidst such fine and creative people, especially a community that's very accepting and encouraging.
I hope to spend many years here to come, learning and passing on my own experiances to aid future generations.

I 3D model in Blender (don't want to pirate software, can't afford to pay upwards of $200 for top-of-the-line software), and occasionally I'll take up suggestions of things to model. Otherwise I'll be content to use my files privately, and share them if people ask NICELY for them - politeness and sharing will get you MUCH further than selfish begging for your own gain.

Oh, and I'm honest yet constructive in my critique - I firmly believe that nobody improves if everything is sugar-coated to make the artist feel better about themselves. If that makes me come across as hard-hearted, then I apologise up-front.

Currently I'm working on a Halo 3 Power Drainer model. I'll post it up as and when I can.
