I never been to comic con before. This will be the first time. Me and some friends are always going to the Anime Expo every year. This year we want to try something different. I plan ot enter the Masquerade. So ill br there for friday and saturday

Oh yeah, I'd totally second that.
This project is insane, made from an uncommon but still-so-awesome model of our favorite hero and doing a lot of it from scratch with cardboard. Definitely one of the highlights of the site and a good representation of home-made costumes.
Elite Iron Man thread ftw.

Ok eveyone thank you for all the comments. You guys / girls fire me up to do my best.
Well its been kinda cold out here in LA so im not working on the costume as much as I want.
Im about to post up it new pix of what Ive done so far. Keep in mind I got both left and right
arms and shoulders done. In the pix I only have my right arm and shoulder on because
I was lazy. tell me what u think so far

I gotta ask, though, how's the mobility in that thing? Especially with those huge shoulder bits, it seems like it'd be hard to touch your toes. :p

Also, how did you manage to detail the cracks? Is that just dremel work? It looks way to authentic to be made from a dremel.

dang, the weathering on your armor is sexy, makes me wanna go experiment for a couple hours till i can (try to) do that, great work man
