When I mentioned it, it wasn't out yet.

I have the new files already but I'm happy with the one I built. It has a better curve to it.
I'll just add whatever details which was the inital plan anyways.

Thank you.

Whoops, wasn't paying attention to dates, lol.

could you give me the link to that iron man mk III helmet, i need less of a challenge then sharkmans mkVI HD helmet haha

Stealth,

I love the results on that helmet. Something about the lines are more expressive than others I've seen. Your sculpting shows a lot of talent.

here you go man. It's not too bad to build. Leave the scale at default. Should be good

Thank You. I really appreciate the comment. I go over the lines with a "needle file". This is something that Finhead has preached in the past. It makes a nice difference going over the lines you have drawn on and pre-etched with tools etc before hand.

paper clay? What is that sir?

This is just regular old Bondo work.

So you're bondo-ing the Exterior? What about the Interior? Any resin mixed with that Bondo?
Just curious. Debating what I want to build for my next Halloween costume. Did War Machine last year (Rondo'd some parts, Fiberglassed others...but all on the Interior).

I coat the outside and inside like this (using that product)

I also use this product as well

I got some more work done on the arms. I also made a new arc reactor to fit perfectly in my suit (it's just sitting there for the pic not really secured with anything)
and worked on my side project.

and merged the 2 for fun...Too bad the helmet didn't fit over the IM helmet :(
but this will do :)

If you're wondering, that's just clay on the details.
I wanted it a bit more higher. I don't feel like bondo-ing it again, so I'll just sculpt them sharper then create a "waste" mold and cast a better version to work with and finalize.
I think I found my halloween costume for this year. No, not Iron-Magneto lol

Just first class Magneto.

long time since I posted. here is an update. Should have the Chest painted up tomorrow and secured to the back.

The suit looks awesome man! I've always loved the Iron man suit from the time the movie came out, but to be honest, there are quite a few reality checks in the abilty of the armor to be as flexable as Tony makes it look! (I don't mean to be naggy if thats the way it seems.)Anyway, the one that catches my eye the most is the shoulder area...How is your 'flexablilty there? In the video it looks like you can't move your arms upward by much...
On the higher note your work is truly remarkable, and I'd love to see the thing finished!

Thanks for the kinds words man.
I agree this won't be the best for mobility. The casted parts I made are semi-rigid, there is nice flex in them but won't be as fun to wear as my foam Mark III, that's for sure.
I will have to be smart with the rest of the build.

This is the more "showey" costume.
