Well, the helmet isn't quite complete, but it is far enough along that I thought I should finally post pictures. :p It's made from the second to last FS helmet, (great model BTW) and I'm going to use Adam's paint technique to finish it, although I did like the color when it was grey/black. Also, I'm scrapping my old visors from my other helmet, since it's already a great fit and double visor.

Well, now it is done!

FINISHED PICS:

Bit blurry. :cautious:

I know the visor a bit crooked, but I'll fix that eventually...

SL371131.jpg

I guess I should have cleaned off the visor first...

Needs some padding and the extra wire is for another fan.

I like this picture for some reason...

Please post comments or questions if you would like, as well as criticism.

Edit: Forgot the early progress pictures:

To me, the brim of it looks the teensiest bit slanted.
But really, it's not noticeable.
Like, at all.
Seriously, that helmet looks great! I hope mine looks as good when it's done.
May I ask what the batteries are for?

OOOOooooh Smoooth top, Nice work on it.

You could have filled in these spots with bondo before painting it, and smoothed out the lines on the front thingy.
But other than this you made a very cool helmet.

Bah paint kinda fill small low spots. Also, weathering/battledamaging will make it disapear ;)

I guess it will, but im a little perfectionist and wants everything to be perfect... :D

@Zenzeigan: Thanks, I'll try to the visor in tomorrow.

@randomman: Yeah, a few areas are a little curved, but nothing too noticeable. The batteries are for the fans and the LED's.

@Skullcandy Girl: Not so much clean sanding as much as a butt load of spot putty.

@The Swedish Chief: I know that some areas have a little bit of indentation, but the pictures are in order and I did touch some of that up.

@LastSpartan: Thanks, and yup, but some times the paint makes it even more obvious. :p

@Spartan 061: Thanks for the compliment.

@JediStumpy: Yup, I already have seen his tutorial, but thanks.

@Spartas Phalanx: They are in series, wired to be 12v, but I know what I'm doing. :p

I really want to do the "secon't last one"

I just have no access to A4 paper.....

That pisses me off.

I love what you've done with it, though.

Just change the file's paper setting to "Letter" and then re-arrange the pieces on the paper.

@xalener: Thanks, but you can just set the paper size to letter like Ral Partha said. (My helmet's letter)

@flying_squirl: Thank you for the awesome helmet pep. and the only reason I used the second to last was that I already had it made in paper when you came out with the final version. :p

@Zaso117: Yup, took forever to sand.
