Built this guy the year prior to the Halo Outpost Houston event, so this will be a bit of a dump from the WIP of all the sections and concept pieces.
This is an updated version of my first foam armor, the prior MKIV Delta Concept Armor. It is definitely a major upgrade not only from the main armor components/ attachments, but the helmet MkIV helmet as well.
This build actually won me the 1st place in the Armor Category for the Halo Outpost Houston contest.

The entirety of this build is foam, with the exception of the Helmet.
Starting with the shins, boots and thighs, i based the designs off of the Square Enix Play Arts Kai Spartan line done for Noble team.
I liked the used of curves for the side panels, and was easy to bring to life with foam.
Templates were extremely tedious to draft as i didnt have a printer at the time to use pep files as a size reference.
So i blew the images up on a TV and hand sketched the templates several times over until i could get a good shaping/size.

I've never been a big fan of the rounded forearm designs for a lot of the armor variants, but the angular and straight edge paneling for the Reach armors inspired my forearm design.
This is one i brought out of my brain box to keep bringing originality to my builds.

Shoulders, based on 2 prior designs.
I LOVE the giant shield plate style shoulder/pauldrons that Red Teams MKIV rocks in Halo Wars, and fond of the idea of having that large plate protecting the upper body/head when shouldering a weapon.
