That M6G looks pretty nice, too. Lots more detail.
Are we gonna be seeing an M6D anytime soon? Because that would absolutely rock.

Yeh I while making it that it is too thick I'm using foamcore. So what I did is use foamcore for the 4 center pieces. Cardboard 1/2 the size of the foamcore for the next 2 pieces and Cardboard 1/2 the size of that for the last 2 pieces. Will post a pic when I'm done.

Kinda confuse at first there, but i get it now.
Good luck on the build!

I have a question,
whats the difference between M6G and M6D?
Mind posting pics?

A comparison shot with my first ever pep build :D
Its roughly about the same height if the gun is aiming downwards.

Next stop, M6C/SOCOM addon!

The M6D was the pistol from Combat Evolved, while the M6G was in Halo 3 and will be in Reach. The M6D is scoped, has a better rate of fire, and is absolutely rapetastic while the M6G is... less so.
Physically, the M6D is a shorter with a more robust slide. The M6G is bigger, but the handle is not as long.
I won't embed pics because one is absoluely massive:

Excelent work on the file.
I printed off the templates to this the moment i found this thread and put it togeather in card. I was that impressed that I have now rescaled it and traced all the templates out onto 3mm plywood. shall be cutting it all out tomorrow. =D

Nice! Can't wait to see it done.

Unfortunalty the blade on my dads bandsaw broke today while i was cutting out the parts. So the project is going to have to go on hold untill we can get hold of a new blade. =/

I need to get myself a scroll saw. You should try a mock up with cardboard first see if you like the look. I like MDF it is so much easier to work with.

I already did a cardboard one, scaled it up and made a few minor alterations. An i would rather work with MDF but my dad has rather alot of Ply around which i dont have to pay for, MDF on the other hand.... I dont have a free supply =P
Hopefully i can get on with the wooden one later this week! *fingers crossed*

Cant wate for the M6C/SOCOM addon for this though!

Great! Show us how the cardboard one looks like.
Oh, and M6C/SOCOM addon added to first post!

Well today i managed to get back on the bandsaw and get it all cut out. This gun, when scaled corectly is pritty big! As i had said before i made one or two alterations to the origenal designe, but most of these are internal, so you cant see them.
Anyway heres some pictures:

Glad you liked it. =]
I am indeed going to make the M6C/SOCOM addition, shall be doing a card mockup today, and as soon as posibble I'll find out where my dad put the plywood.

Sorry for the doubble post, but I dont supose you would think about making a sliced version of the M7 SMG would you?
