Well, call me crazy, but I had a thought. I am in the process of completing a CNC build. My idea is to design the Magnum in 3D, then slice it in half and see if the CNC will carve out each half. With some tweaking and finalizing some work, I figured I could simply glue to two halves together and hopefully have a semi-decent final product. I have litte experience with CNC, but the pros I have spoken to say it possible to do.

My goal until the CNC is ready (a few weeks) I want to design the Magnum in Rhino. Are there any reference pics/drawings avaialble to save me the redundent work of pulling it off of screen grabs. I did do some research, but didn't find anything promising,...then again, there is allot in here and on the web.

Thanks in advance guys.

Yea this should work. I've seen someone do this for an AR a while ago.

You should try searching around for the referances or use Halo 3 if you have it.

Where'd you find how to make a CNC? I always wanted one! :)

Heres some blueprints forgot who made them but here you go.

Neat, which plans are you following for the CNC? I'm currently working on a Rockcliff build.

There are tutorials on the net for them. Search "3 Axis Homemade CNC"

Thanks for the help guys, this should work.

I am using Patrick Hood-Daniels design. It seams pretty straight forward, but who knows.
