My Armor Keeps Disappearing!

Me & my cousin just got the halo 3 mythic skulls & tank dropper achivements (on the same xbox), which gave me the security shoulders & him the security helmet & katana, but when we activate it, it makes our spartans have all mark Vi armor & those pieces disappear from the list! WTF!? I need help!!!!

it happens all the time just restart your xbox and start halo again and you should have it

I tried & it didn't work. Could it be my disc? it's pretty scratched up.

I'm pretty sure the issue is this: the security helmet and katana were designed to unlock with the original 49 (it is 49, right? please correct me if I'm wrong) achievements and 1000 GS. So, whenyou reach to 1000 GS using some of the new achievements, the armor may be temporarily unlocked, then relocked. Mine did this for a few months after I hit the 1000 mark. I think I had all but three of the original achievements. So I decided randomly to play a campaign level i hadnt got the achievement on for scoring so many points. And when I did and got the achievement, the armor was permanently unlocked. My brother, on the other hand, doesnt have very many of the original campaign achievements. So my advice: get as many of the original achievements as possible.

Haha, I ironically just posted in a different thread with a very similar post.

It has to do with a glitch between the new and old achivements, I believe bungie personally stated that if it dosn't work out for you, you'll have to try and get the original 49.

yeah, this was explained recently in Arby n' the Chief, the Katana and Marathon Shoulders disappear if you don't unlock them with the original 49 achievements.

Turn off the active camo & it'll appear again

Just kidding! Take a disc doctor to the disc and see if you can get those nasty scratches off. There should also be a way to back up your information onto the hard drive I think.

If you didn't get the achievement for Spartan Officer, then getting Lieutenant in one playlist will unlock the achievement.
