My Emile-A239 build

So I took some time away to relax and recover as I was starting to hit a burn out but I'm back on track for the suit!

I had put up a few update posts on Instagram so I'm resharing here.

I have the chest and back primed and sprayed and very happy with the outcome for it so far!

I have the shoulders. Biceps and final chest pieces printed, primed and painted.

I separated the chest into smaller pieces to help with making it as compatible for travel as I possibly could.

And since coming back from the break I have gotten the knife & sheath prepped. The sheath needs a last bit of sanding but we're getting there.

Also I had to reprint a shoulder for Emile. I have the older one at hand. If anyone is interested in the shoulder for their own works I am selling it, there's nothing wrong with it but I don't have the time to play around with it so if anyone is interested feel free to message me on ~noble5cosplayeire~ on instagram.

Just finished off spraying emiles knife. I'm adding a leather grip to the handle and a small few details to make it one of my own. But it's coming out nicely.

So once again another update post.

I've come pretty far in the suit and I'm really loving the fact it's coming together!

I just finished the shoulder and attaching the sheath to it as well, with hope it doesn't break off but it seems solid for now

"Keep'em, he gave'em to you. I'll honor him my own way."

I always wondered how Emile would have honoured Jorge, so I took my own take on it.

I have also just finished one of the forearms, I had to wait for airbrush cleaner to be delivered so painting is gonna be on the back burner for a moment but I've done enough to cover the time

And to top off I've just started Emiles legs.

The thighs are done and ready for priming. The shins are still printing away but we'll have them done in no time.

I used UV plant resin on the legs to cure the pieces and make sanding them that bit easier to do, then hit them like the rest of the armour pieces with hand sanding from 330 grit to 5000, it is a killer on the body but boy is it worth it

So I saw Emiles attachment for his helmet and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it but I had an old light up coaster sitting beside me and thought could it?.. turns out it could fit in with a slight adjustment. I'll be making the holes a bit bigger when the paint dries them putting a small bit of plastic over the holes.

I started to do the Emile for my son but he dont see to be so into it any more, but you are doing an awesome jo0b on this armor look great i will be watching this post.

So I got the helmet attachment on and it's looking slick, the visor is pretty decent for visibility as well. Haven't mounted the visor yet as I wanna install fans and add air holes without cracking the dome in the process.

So progress report.

My original plan for the suit was to make it compact and easy to travel with and suit up. It was supposed to be 3 parts but the suit just wouldn't play ball. So I've resorted to 2 pieces. Front and back for now and will approach it again in the future.

Next step is to add buckles to the front and back of the suit, I have some plans for how to make it comfortable but that will be a trial and error learning curve.

So after a few hours of work today, Emiles grenade belt is primed and ready for action.

I love and hate the suit tonight after painting the grenades but the look of these makes it all worth while.

Peeling off the tape and seeing a clean line is my new favourite sight.

Chest is together and legs are nearly finished assembling, have a gap on my left leg where they meet in the middle so I'm currently adding magnets to try pull them together or at least hold them together.

I'm very happy with how the suit is coming along and have a few more bits done which I'm gonna show once they're solid together

Suit is looking phenomenal! I can't wait to see how it looks finished.

The suit is moving nicely, there's a few details I wish I had thought more of before hand but none the less, its a learning curve. I especially learned a lot from the visor and I may redo it again next year. But for now I'm moving on with what I gotta do.

The fans are working nicely, they are loud but I'll take a breeze over hearing.

Fitted the inside with helmet padding and I didn't need as much as I had thought, it fits tight on the head and I've no issues with it rolling around when I turn my head.

Visibility is there, in bright rooms I'll see my way through, turn out the lights and I'm as blind as a mole rat
