This is the file in the wiki I do not recommend it for newbs because you have to cut some slits in some places like the top "Hat" thingy in the front of it.

Made with cardstock, Aleene's original tacky glue, Popsicle sticks(For internal support), and hot glue(For filling in gaps and whatnot), also some "Good stuff" expanding foam.(Only in the grip, It kinda messed it up, it expanded then contracted :/)

this is more of a practice piece but I will finish it.

Well I'm happy with it.

Props to you. I was going to make the magnum... I pepped the magazine... Then printed the SMG on the back of other magnum sheets, way too many tiny pieces for me. But looking at yours I'm kinda kicking myself now. It looks awesome.

Thanks, next thing I'm making is the Halo3 Marine Armour.

Also I painted the silver parts silver(Duh), now I need to paint the grip black and then add the details.

FYI, if you had the one in the wiki you wouldn't of been able to put the magazine in unless you made 3 holes, Bottom of the grip, top and bottom of the lower grip(?). And If you can't tell, I'm not too fond of the some of the aspects of the model and how it was peped. It's a good model it could just be better...Not trying to sound like d*k just my opinion.

Wow. That is a mighty fine looking weapon. I've thought about pepping some weapons but I'm too afraid to try. Yours looks pretty good. Major props to you.

Ah, so I'm not the only one who uses "GREAT Stuff" for weapons. The magnum looks pretty good, is it supposed to be cockable or did you modify it?

The slider(?) is a separate piece from the rest so I think so. Also I just printed my Marine helmet.

Pics coming...

Edit:

My current progress on the helmet, heh progress heh...

Here's where it is for those who don't know: http://halocostuming.wikia.com/wiki/Pepakura_File_Index It's a way's down but you'll find it.

Thank you all for the great feedback,

@ Queen, It's not my first Pep piece, but I havn't done one in about 1-3 years. My first pep type piece was a MadCat from the MechWarrior series, When I was around 10. When I made that I used regular printer paper and elmer's white glue. Then later(Somehow) I started using cardstock, and tacky glue. Made about 5-10 mechs(Not all at once) And here I am :) And if you're wondering I'm sixteen.

Also I'm extremely happy with how it came out :D Just need's the important details and it's done.

I'm currently pepping an SMG, and I must say, for paper, they're pretty detailed little sons of bitches. Nowhere near the wooden works we see, but far cheaper and easier.

The plan is to slushcast or smoothcast it when I'm done. Great Stuff is too unreliable, and it tends to be cratered on the outside, meaning I'd have to leave the paper skin on it, much reducing my detailing options and overall life of the prop...

Looks pretty good, man. Something's off, and I can't put my finger on it, but it's not too big an issue. Easily recognizable.

@SchizophrenicMC, What may be off is that It is a bit on the big side, or the grip having a convex in the middle. Or maybe I miss read what you meant.

Also, I have the first three pages cut out of the helmet, IMO they are the most pain in the ass pages, So...many...triangles (@)_(@).

Very nice! I like your weathering effects, definitely.

Win @ the gun .gif with the back of the pistol sliding back, good attention to that detail.

I started making a magnum about a week ago as my first project. I thought it was going to be easy because it was small, I was wrong.

Yours is looking much better than mine.

That what I also thought :D

Looks good, I really hate the 3D model because he took shortcuts on the mag, trigger, and the flashlight-thing. Instead of having them all connect in the model he just stuck them where they should go, for a game of show piece that may be fine but for pep it really sucks. /rant

When I first looked at it(the pep file) I thought it would be easy too because it was small. But I thought it would be a little difficult for only using pepakura for only about a few weeks.

I'll stick with an SMG.

BTW, nice magnum. And what Trooper said, nice details. :)
