So a a few months ago I got an ODST chest and mark V(B) thighs from one of the local members.

after getting it my first goal was to make the parts I didn’t have. So I started with the shins and I had a few errors but I did not give up!

After I had made the shins I got strapping for them to go around my leg!
My older brother PapaSola had printed me a commando helmet a while back, I am still stuck figuring out how to attach this backplate especially since it was modified

And yes im aware it looks like it hit a family of grunts XD, if anyone can help me figure this out I’d greatly appreciate it. That small block piece is a magnet.

I’ve just about finished the armor and will link the photos but im stuck on the helmet, unfortunately my brother is away with work and won’t get back in time to help me, I have ONE week to figure this out.

Current look of the suit btw :)

You're quite lucky to have a head start with the help of some local builders!

With the helmet, does the part actually fit in place (but just not remain attached), or does it not fit at all?

So when I made the helmet for him it was slightly too small, so I cute the back of it off, it’s not gonna be an exact match but it’s close enough, i tried using elastic strapping through out the whole helmet but never actually secured it in, honestly I could probably go back to that, but I thought magnets would help him too, so I told him to ask the 405th.

I would do magnets. Turbo was kind enough to separate the back for me before printing, but the way he made the magnet mounts prevented me from putting on the helmet. I sanded the slots down and created my own snug latches with .3mm magnets on the sides and one heavy duty magnet in the back that carries the majority of the weight and holds it together. The ledges I made were painstakingly CUSTOM done by hand, using layers of heavy duty apoxie sculpt clay, buckram, and bondo.
