Hey all!

So I've been here a while, talking to folks, getting advice... and now I think I'm finally ready to show off the armor.

I admit, I cheated a bit and had a friend helping me build it. It's constructed out of fiberglass and some steel (the bellyplate, which is how the gun sticks to it... w/ a magnet). I also bought the helmet on eBay from a fellow armor enthusiast. Hope this doesn't get me kicked out. :)

Anyhow, right now it's missing the boots (I'm wearing motocross boots in the photo) and there are some loose straps still hanging down. Working on those. I'm taking some more pro photos tonight in a local park to post later, and hitting Wizard World Philadelphia this weekend.

Speaking of Wizard World Philly. Anyone going to that? I'd love to meet some 405th folks.

Thanks for all the help, tips, inspiration. :)

While the photos are not clear, I can tell you that you used most HD files. I'm impressed. The only criticism that I have is the chest is a tad oversize. The lower part of the chest piece should be around where your ribs end. The breast plates are now on your ribs. Just my observation.

The suit looks really good but I have to agree with coolc the chest seems rather large, are you able to raise your arms up easily or do the shoulders bump into the top of the torso part, otherwise it looks great just that the chest throws off the look a bit

Alas, the shoulders do definitely bump a bit. But I'm managing. Luckily my props just stick to the metal belly plate, so I can reach them easily. Heh.

Took some better photos later this afternoon. Definitely have to buy some straps (any recommendations?) to hold the codpiece and bellyplate up, as they keep slipping down no matter HOW tight I make my belt. GRR.

Even a Spartan needs a brew once and a while. :)

The actual build looks BEAUTIFUL! It's extremely smooth. The issue is sizing. That chest is WAY too big for you. Otherwise though, an EXCELLENT job, especially considering it;s your first attempt!

The armor looks really good! Yeah, the chest is a bit big, but its great nonetheless! Also though, I thought i should point out the fact that on this latest set of pictures, your forearm pieces are on backwards! i dont know if they just slipped or something, but they are backwards.
