While I haven't had the resources for anything major lately, I did decide to finally paint my Nerf AR for the recent anime fest witchita. I forgot to take very many progress pics so I'll do what I can.

Here I am last November, after getting my early Christmas present, my Nerf AR for $25. Wait, that's not a Halo helmet!

June 21st of this year here it is with a coating of matte black Rust-Oleum paint. I took off all the furniture bits to paint separately, and this lantern hook thingy was perfect to hang it off of while I painted it

I based the color scheme off of the guns Luce and Ombra (specifically Ombra) from devil may cry. The silver overspray around the front was accidental but ended up being more accurate to the gun it's based on.

Here's the finished paint job. I added all the extra little gold bits with a metallic gold sharpie paint marker. To add some character (quite literally lol) I put a sticker of Trish from Devil May Cry given that she's the wielder of the aforementioned Luce and Ombra, as well as HUNK from resident evil, who's incognito.

The gas mask/H3 marine helmet combo goes hard, I love it.
I was so nervous that it wasn't actually going to fit properly lol. It took a little bit of finessing but I was able to get it on just fine. A Halo 3 Marine build in the proper resident evil colors is definitely on the list
