Uh, woah...........

Okay, so I managed to FINALLY get the file to work and took a look at it. First of all, I had to edit in blender and delete the doubles. That then allowed me to patch up the open hole that was on one side of the gun.

Buuuuuuut..............

Once I opened it up in pepakura, there were TONS of red lines, meaning, that all those lines means that NOTHING connects..............it's just a bunch of loose, single pieces. Unfolding this thing is gonna be a *****!!!!! D:

Unless there is someone that knows how to fix that problem. I only know of one way, but it takes literally HOURS to do. I don't really know of any other way to fix it. :\

srry. i didnt know bout that. in sketchup i did not see any holes or anything and why are there red lines?
I saw pretty much what HaloGoddess said. You won't see the open edges (at least not easily) in SketchUp but they will very easily in PD. I think you need to heed what HG said about the doubles and delete them.

I don't exactly know what causes the red lines. As for the open hole, like Ral Partha said, you can't see it in sketchup because even I decided to install sketchup to look at the file and did not see any open areas. I also installed mesh lab and that was how I managed to open the file in blender and where I also discovered where the open area was. I remember reading that someone else saw that too so when I was looking at the model, I made sure to look for the area.

If you are using blender to model, what I did was go into edit mode, hit "A" and that selected the whole model. I then hit "W" which pulled up a menu and clicked on "delete doubles" or something like that. It was like you had a couple layers of the model on top of one another because even when I tried to select the 4 points of the open area to create a face, it wasn't letting me do it since I probably had more than just 4 vertices selected. Once I deleted the doubles, I was able to fix the hole. Not sure if that makes any sense to you since I honestly do not know much about blender and learned a few things here and there, but I still can NOT make my OWN models. :( I only know how to edit them a little bit.

well they were good models its just sketchup that stinks.... but whenever you get your PC fixed invest in 3ds max or blender and you wont have that problem any more

yeah
im probably gonna do a huge backup and reinstallmy OS. I was going to do the disk reset by erasin the drives contents to factory state. But Toshiba and Microsoft are total retards-so you knowit didnt work. well-whatz a man gunna do
and i did make that model mostly in blender then imported to sketchup to finish.

like i said they look good but 3ds max would be better... listen i have a program that will detect and automatically back up your drivers that is on your pc.. that way you can burn them to a disc and do a complete reformat and not have to worry about hunting down your drivers.. if you need it just let me know in a pm and i can send you a link to that software
