I plan on doing that with patience and small detail tools. mini files and some sculpting tools. there are some tight spaces that could prove to be a pain, all i gotta do is find someway of getting around it lol.

Thank you guys for the words of encouragement! it helps me to get through to finish. so not alot of work done on the actual helmet today, just alot of thinking on the game plan on how to tackle the detail work on this helmet. I got some small security torx screws from work that i am going to usin for small bolt details and i have to break out the dremel to detail some stuff like the bottom of the chin. onto the pics and i will talk as i go
SO on the nose i took the stair stepped part out and filled it in to look more like the game version of this helmet and took the dremel with a barrel drum to drill the inset holes on the mouth. i screwed up on one so i will be filling it back in than resanding and drilling it plus cutting the black area out for the chin detail. i will be rounding out the top of the visor a bit more just to smooth it out a bit. on the area that says smooth on it i had to cut that section back due to the fact that it ended up out of symmetry compared to the other side.
So the top of the dome i screwed up when i took the dremel to it but liuckily its an easy fix. The center hole up top started to walk and made the hole oblong, i wasnt paying enough attention i guess lol, i marked out generally where i wanted everything for the detail.
so this is the back of the helmet routered out, the two black lines on the bottom are where i will be cutting it and match up to in game models as best i can
hopefully it will look like this

sorry for the double post but its been a couple days and i have progress pictures. first up is the top of the noggin, i cleaned up the holes and redid them to try and make them as even and level as i could
second picture is the rear of the helm, i cut the very top and back end of the helmet up to add finer more game like detail as i had stated in the above post prior, just gonna figure out a way to tackle that part tomorrow. hopefully it will be done tomorrow night

Darn double posting. sorry everyone but here are more progress photo's, hit the primer stage. i decided against the back being the same because i couldn't figure out a quick easy fix for it so i filled it back in and shaped it back again. onto the photos!
So there it is, not sure about the paint job yet but that should be in the next posting. comments, criticism, and all is welcomed.

thanks cchalo . been a slow one to build but im happy with the turnout. should have it painted tonight and finished. thinking about molding it. not sure yet.

So i didnt do a visor because after a long hard thought at work today about whether or not too I decided this helmet will be molded and cast! so i hope to start gaining the supplies for this soon. I decided to paint it anyways just to see what it would look like with the paint i bought. colors seems off but i am sure with some blackwash and battle scars it would be better.
So there it is, hope some/ most/ all like it. This is my first "ld" file to "hd" helmet I have made and overall I am pretty happy with it.
Thanks to Satchmo for the file! Cereal for his amazing tuts, skullptura for following the build and watching from the beginning and Sir Tsaboc you were an inspiration with your build. now to learn how to mold, cast, and how to honeycomb the visor when i do my first pull in a couple weeks.

thanks brit! i will be molding this and i started the chest piece so this will probably turn into a long slow full suit build now

so upon starting the chest i looked at it completely and thought to myself "wow, this chest unfold is so complicated and i don't know how to make it any easier" so I looked and looked for an easier SPARTAN 4 CHEST PIECE and nothing. So I am gonna mix it up and combine armor. Off to print Master chiefs chest piece for this suit. GUess I should learn how to unfold now just incase i run into hard ones like this. If anyone has any idea on where I can find an easier chest piece for a warrior than by all means please let me know, i wouild love to make this a complete matching suit.

skully! thanks for the words of encouragement and thanks for sticking through on my build. i started the chest and seen the pieces were way hard to figure out, so i tried to learn how to unfold tonight and that came to no avail lol so i am going through and seperating the pieces in groups so they are atleast easier to locate, still won't be easy to cut and fold though. was gonna do the masterchief torso but changed my mind again and decided i want to complete a warrior suit. will be ordering molding and cast supplies in a couple weeks when finances permit.

Yeah im finding it hard to gather finances to fund my addiction to pepping........ May need to start a pep anonamous group rofl! Anywho...... When I build stuff i start on page one and then cut out the piece that I need to stick it to the first piece I cut out and cut them out as I need them. I see a lot of people cut everything out and then stick it all together. If I did that i'd lose bits lol. But yeah! If your suit turns out half as good as this helmet you will be awesome.
