Hey there!

It's been quite some time since my last crocheted Halo stuff, so i had to make a new thread.
But I've made a few new patterns, so just pressure me enough to finally post them <.<

Let's start with my personal fav for now: LUMU!

It's been quite a ride with that AI, so far I've made 3 versions, each one a bit different to improve my pattern
BUT I MADE THEM FLOAT!

The secret? Just stab 'em with a clear straw and maybe put enough hot glue at the other end of the straw to keep it balanced on your hand.

Purple Lumu went international and lives at Wendi82 s place now

- yarn of choice, white yarn for facial features
- crochet hook, size depends on your yarn
- tapestry needle
- something to mark your rounds (everything is fine as long as you can keep track of your stitches ;D)
- filling material / fiber fill

For the face.... i have to admit, i just eyeball the placement. Just look deep in your soul where to embroider the eyes and the lines on.

Fret and Butlr are also planned, but their shapes are a bit more complicated for me and I wasn’t happy with my tries so far. Those two will take some longer. The sharp edges are a challenge for me.

I've seen the Lumus before, but I haven't seen the Supers, and I wish I've seen them earlier because they have to be my fave out of the ones you've made so far. The image on the right looks like he's sleeping very comfortably. Personally looking forward to how Fret comes out since he's the one I use in multiplayer. Very adorable, very well done!

For the half closed eyes:

Rnd 2: 1 ch, turn, inc in each st
Rnd 3: 1 ch, turn, [1sc, inc] x 3 times
Rnd 4: 1 ch, turn, [2 sc, inc] x 3 times
Rnd 5: 1 ch, turn, [3 sc, inc] x 3 times

Eye attachment:
I was lazy. really lazy. and what does a cosplayer use, if they don't want to sew? That's right! HOT GLUE!
So, to make the Eyes detachable, i just hotglued Velcro on the eyes and on the ball- if it works, it works. But you can do the hard way and sew the velcro on - or the eyes, if you don't want to change them. That's totally up to you!

If you want the pattern for the UwU eyes, please let me know. I forgot to write the pattern down when i made them (took me like 15 minutes to make them, so i didn't care at that moment)

It's not AI related, but still Halo crochet, so i have to show you!
Oddduckcrochet made a pattern for a Halo ODST Huragok, and she was nice enough to make me on of her pattern testers. She will sell the pattern on her etsy later (and is already selling her finished huragoks there)!

Have you tried making panels and then crocheting them together along the edges to give it a more defined edge or almost "spine". Hope this is helpful and I can't wait to see what you come up with! I know you'll do cool stuff.

It has been silent for quite a while now, but I got back into it.

Currently working on my flood pattern, which I wanted to do… almost two years ago!

So far we’ve lost one crochet hook in the process. Rest in pieces little fella.

-> repeat until desired length (I made mine 14 cm / 5.5 inch)
-> Fasten off, no stuffing needed, leave a longer tail to sew on main body

Antennas (make 3 of those!):
Rnd1) chain 4, slip stitch into first chain
Rnd2) 4 sc in this ring
Rnd3 to end) 4 sc
-> repeat until desired length, but longer than the tentacles!
-> Fasten off, leave longer tail to sew on main body

Red part for the Antennas: (Tassels, also 3 of those)

- wrap yarn around your hand until desired thickness
- Tie together at the top
- Cut on the other side
- Tie upper end tightly

- Sew ending of the tassel on the opening of the start of your antennas and Fluff

Assembling:
- sew on tentacles and antennas on the bottom of the main body, using the long tails
- Place the 3 antennas more on the front, weave in the ends.
