Ninja Gaiden 2

I just rented this game and have been playing it in all my free time. (putting off my armor making till I'm done)
Has anyone else played it or interested in the game?!
I totally recommend it - especially if you liked the first one.
Make some noise if you have Ninja Gaiden 2!

PS: I have beat the game. I'll be glad to share what I have learned.

A few tips I have:
Use L it is your friend.
CH 1 - 7 Use your yellow essence for buying weapons upgrades or specialty items only.
CH 8 - 14 Make sure you always have 3 herbs of healing and 3 grains of healing - you will need it.
The weapons you want to primarily focus on upgrading: The Tigers Fang and Dragons Claw, Eclipse Scythe, Falcons Talons and the Dragon Sword. Those are basically the four weapons I used throughout the whole game (I abandoned the falcons talons eventually when I observed the sheer power of the dual katanas). The vigoorian flail and the tonfas are fun but not nearly as effective as the others.
Falcons Talons / Tigers Fang and Dragons Claw - use as your primary weapon.
Eclipse Scythe - use on mechs and bosses
Dragon Sword - used through 1st chapters and last chapters.
CH 6 Have a talisman of rebirth or block.

Ah so there was a topic on this already. Good I'd hate to make a new one with this already here. I played this game religiously for a little while. Working on all the weapon mastery achievements right now, but I found something interesting last night.

I was downloading Halo 3's Cold Storage and I saw that NG2 had some game content downloads too. They didn't seem to be anything special just costume packs for in-game play. So I got them just for kicks.

Holy crap do they make Ryu look even more intimidating.

I thought I was done finding cool costumes I may one day want to create, but they just keep popping up.

I was thinking the biometal made him look more like the Guyver. At least in the body region. Helmet not so much.

Guess they've been playing homage to the originals this whole time. It's been so long since I played the others I didn't even realize it.

When I dloaded the chil out map, I saw the costumes as well. Since I only had 200 points left. I hoped for the best and bought the biometal costume.
Ninja Gaiden is the only thing almost as cool as a girlfriend vending machine.

Apparently, this is Ninja Month. On July 15 we'll be getting "Mission Mode" for NG2. Not quite sure what it is, but it sounds cool. I couldn't find any info on it yet, but if someone does, please fill me in.

omg...necro...I know...sue me, but I have new questions on the subject of the Mission Mode downloadable content.

I can't seem to find out why the Mission Mode still isn't up on the Marketplace yet even after I heard they had to fix it and re-released it. Anyone else not able to find/download it? Or, has anyone heard why it's still not back?

I'm still running through on the weapon achievements by the way. Kusari-gama is fuuuunn. I've done the Dragon Sword, Dual Katana, and Lunar Staff already.

The "Weapons Mastery" achievements are obtained by playing through the entire game with just a single melee weapon. You can use your Ninpo and Projectiles, but you can only use one melee weapon through the entire game. So, I've gone through the entire game on Acolyte with the Dragon Sword only, the Dual Katanas only, and the Lunar Staff only. Now I'm going through with the Kusari-gama only.

The Mission Mode is suppose to be 25 additional missions in Survival, Karma Attack, and something else I think. Just additional fun for those that enjoy NG2.

Edit:
Ok, so I think I just have to go home and check to see if it's on now. From what I've found on Xbox.com's forums, it seems they only just put Mission Mode back up the night before last, and since I didn't get on last night, I didn't see it. All the glitches seemed to have been fixed as well.
