I just read through your entire thread, and I have it subscribed as a guide while I build my own Spartan. I have a ton of friends that are actually quite big in the costuming community, that love Halo, Star Wars, Mass Effect, Star Treck, DC, Marvel, anime, you name it. They all have their kits too of different things and go to various cons. I've shown them that pic on your first page (I hope you don't mind, gave credit of course)

every one of them freaked and couldn't believe it wasn't CG or photoshop. I thought the same thing. The kit as a whole, the package deal, is just so spot on. I even sent them the link to this thread to check it out themselves since they wouldn't believe me!

Awesome build, and thanks for the great read everyone! I'm not sure if I missed it or not, but I'm looking to build the UA/Multi-threat shoulders myself, and I can't seem to find the files. Either my search and google-fu are failing or... it's leprechauns!

Hi Thorn,

I joined 405th last night, I've been a Halo fan since the first game on the original Xbox and recently (so my wife tells me) I've become in need of a hobby that doesn't revolve around our two kiddies. So, I thought I might have a stab at making a set of Spartan armour as close to that of Noble 6 from Reach as I possibly could manage.

This morning I was hunting through the various threads on the forum, glancing at tutorials and making a mental note to return to them when the time came that I needed the information. Then I came across this thread - that was around 0745 this morning. Suffice to say that my day at work has been spent reading through all the pages of this thread. I must honestly say that what you have achieved with your armour set is little short of staggeringly brilliant.

I'll be starting my pep build next month, after pay day. My intention is to construct all the parts, as close to Noble 6 as I possible can and then get into the Smart-Cast, Rondo, Bondo and painting. After reading the entire thread of your build, I'll be going for an under armour of Motor-Cross amour and working out how to mount the Spartan armour components directly to that. I honestly hope that if I am exceptionally lucky, very very careful and fate is smiling kindly on me then I may be able to construct an armour set that reaches the dizzy heights of a pale reflection of the Spartan armour you have built for yourself.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I will be repeatedly referring to this thread as my go-to defacto guide, It has been said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration - you, good Sir, have this in spades.

Thank you for sharing the past four years of yourself through this thread.
