Non-main character costume builds?

I have a rough version of Fernando Esparza Halo Pilot I’ve put together and I’m wanting to refine it to be screen accurate and have an action figure accurate version. Is anyone else building non-main characters?

I'm working on building this Reach civilian, I'll probably do a thread when he's finished. Really simple stuff, hardest part is the custom black section on the sweatshirt. After I've painted the black in, then all I have to do is some black-and-brown washing to weather everything.

Wanted an in-universe costume that's casual and comfy to wear for interstate cons! Down the line, I might create this sweater with a print-on-demand site, that way I can add things like "PHOTOGRAPHER" or "HANDLER" on the back/front.

In 35 years of cosplay I've never recreated a primary character. I've always been 'me in that universe'. A Klingon, but not Worf. A Martian marine but not Bobbie. A Spartan, but not one ever named. Just me in that franchise.

If you just want to be you, go for it!
