Odst Helmet Update Done

I'm trying to find out how it's not perfect.

No constructive criticism from me. This helmet doesn't need it. Needs a visor though, but you already know that.

EDIT: I was just looking at my character model in Halo 3 and I noticed that the detail on the left side of the helmet is different than the right. Looks like Bungie got lazy... again... I'll show you what I mean later.

Here is an update on the ODST helmet I am building....
I have kept the whole process pretty quiet and much to myself...
Thanks to Adam, he was very supportive all the way on this project....
I have took a break from my WETA Marine to do this, have to get back on the Marine soon again
There are still many details that I have to work on
Especially the 4 little screws on the side of the helmet, and the detail on the back of the helmet

how did you get such thin even lines on the helm top? dremel? looks great!

Nothing's wrong with your helmet, it's just that Bungie screwed up the model.

Thanks for liking the helmet :)
I used alot of stuff on this helmet....
Fiber Glass resin
Poly resin
Bondo
spot putty
2 part putty

For Visor I am still working on a good version..... We will see how it comes out..... It will be some kinda lexsand material.

were did you use poly resin? It looks like it all fiberglass and bondo

Poly resin?
lol
I got lazy
so instead of lining the inside with fiber glass
I slushed it with regular white resin:)
That's all
peace

Perfect! now paint it :D!
I think I'm going to have to re-do and slush cast my ODST... people have been getting brilliant results from it.

That looks great. Did you pep that or get a mold?

Answer to the question above....
The helmet is based on the pep file you can find here in 405,
but a lot of modification went into the helmet.

Peace

Holy crap, that's awesome! I'm starting my very first project, which happens to be an ODST! I'm doing pepakura and then resin-ing it, but I'm not sure if I can make it that perfect! (y)
