Well this is my new project, building optimus prime, probably be G1 since the movie one would be way too hard, but I could try....I wouldnt do a flaming paintjob though.

one of my brothers freinds made a bumblebee costume completely out of styrofoam with some re-enforecement i havnt seen it yet but ive seen pics of bits and peices its bout 6ish feet tall and he also made a opt. prime costume thats litterally 8feet tall if i membered correctly the same way. its nuts the things he did, he taught himself how to walk on painter's stilts and made the legs around them, the hands extend out another 2-3 feet and all the fingers are completely mobile same with the arms, he took apart a transformers toy and took the voicebox and put it inside the helmet so when he pushes a button it says something differant and he amplified the speakers its crazy if i can get some pics of it ill post em

My friend and I are actually doing a MC/Optimus combo for Halloween (Ohio university Halloween is crazy, by the way) We were sort of working on our costumes together and we both just finished. Here is what his ended up looking like:

I've made myself a G1 Optimus Prime costume (apart from the voice changer helmet, which incedently is worth buying, I love the thing) to go and see the new movie, I have some pictures of it, and I would happily tell you how I made it if you want?

As a matter of fact, I've been working on the Optimus Prime Pepakura helmet for some time now.

Anyone ever see a optimus prime costume? The only one I have seen that was wearable and transformed with the person inside was in some chinese comic fest video on youtube. A ton of people had transformer costumes and transformed with them on, they come out perfectly accurate to their vehicle and semi accurate to their shape (humans can twist and turn like robots)

Is there any place where I can find a way to make optimus's costume, I think being optimus or bumble bee would be awsome (the ones from the movie) even if they didnt transform.

Duuuudeee...thats a nice suit you have.

I like it, the only thing odd is the torso is large, other than that, I love it.

I have seen a show on tv that did something about giant robots, and there was a guy who mad a huge robot that a person could fit in and control form the inside. It didn't look like a transformer but at least they got the robot part down.
