I made this a few weeks ago after my previous attempts at an RIS shroud broke off. Like in the title, the gun is a Tippmann Alpha Black Tactical edition.
This is what the gun looks like. Fairly realistic. But not enough.
Here is the first mod. Just a basic RIS rail I fastened on from an airsoft gun I was saving for parts. I also got a Lego lightsaber and made a fiber optic sight. (2nd picture) However, the main problem with this is that the front sight was not held on well enough, and snapped off. It was followed by the rest right before a paintball game!
This was followed by a quick digital camo paintjob. Being as impatient as I was, I didn't wait to get proper coloured paints, nor did I let the beige dry completely which caused some chipping if you can see. I'm gonna do it again with my airbrush.
Finally, the last one. The final SIR mod, very nice. The red dot sight is pretty much there for looks, I need to make a fiber optic sight, like the front one. The foregrip is also removable, with the old rails glued on each side of it. The whole unit is held in with two bolts on the top, so it can be cleaned and removed if needed. As you can see, I also go rid of the fugly carrying handle.
So, what do you think? I like it, so I'm sure you guys will!
