Looking good. Especially the chest piece and under suit. The pilot helmet is my favorite. Haven't seen anyone build it so it's interesting to watch the progress.
Well guys... i tryed to vac form today using somthing diffrent.. a leaf blower!! the suction worked fine but the problem was that plexiglass is not good for vacforming because it refuses to strech even in 450 degrees.... so it looks like im gunna have to spend the big bucks to get the right plastic for the visor. but, i dont know what to get!! so if anyone knows the ideal plastic to order online let ME KNOWWW!!! Por favor! that would be great!!
so here are some pics of my vac former and the fail of a visor the plexiglass made.
so again, if you know of plastic that is made to be used in a vac former pm me up or just post in this thread!

I know it's a Longshot, But you could Try Acetate Sheeting. Dunno if you can order it online though. The stuff is Highly flexible, Though what I used was .030 thickness. I picked it up in HobbytownUsa for 3.99 for 2 9"X 12" sheets. The company that HTUSA orders from is called K&S Engineering, their website is www.ksmetals.com They carry a lot of Nylon and plastic building material.
Good luck, hope this helps.
When you go to the website; Select accessories then scroll to the very bottom.
I think if you call them you can get bigger sheets.
Yeah! i did! and the strangest thing was that the oven was so hot, that the wood frame itself started smokin. it made brad angry. but no worrys. i took back the big sheet of it and got a full refund. i used scraps of a older one to test out the method. i bought some petg from amazon with prime shipping - FREE!! WOHHOO! it should get here tomarrow!
