Looking pretty good so far! I'm looking forward to the end result. Are you going to have a helmet with this build or stick with a good ole' military hat?

Thanks Frozensnot! and right now im currently going with a good ole' military hat i got from walmart like 6 years ago lol. Ill take a pic with it after the armor is strapped.

Okay so here is some more pics from earlier today.
Prettty much a test fit of the chest with the udersuit im using and then i painted all my pieces.







Thats all the progress for now. not sure if im going to work on anything tomorrow (tuesday) as i have to go to gamestop and ask them some questions about the release of halo 5. Apparently they are doing it at 9 pm my time. And for anybody on the west coast, im thinking they might be doing it the same for you guys too. im not sure so dont quote me lol.

Okay so i am finally getting around to posting the rest of the pics for my marine that i have up to this point so far.

Well thats all there is so far for the armor. I am still in the process of building the helmet and i still need to weather everything. But I am really satisfied with it. Especially since its my first full-ish foam build. I have only done a few before this but they were just single pieces.

Looks freaking amazing! I've always preferred the soft cap look for Halo Marines & ODSTs...mainly because I think their helmets are ugly.

lol not only can you sit in a vehicle but you can clime into a warthog...

Also just noticed I had my forearms on the wrong arm, but that was fun. Need to do a day suiting up and just hitting the town.

Thanks V! I will probably try and weather everything within the next few months. With holidays coming up so fast i might wait until January honestly. I have stuff i want to make for people and not sure ill have the time lol.

Neat foam work mate. How do you get your detail lines so neat? Are you using a soldering iron and a straight edge or just freehand?

Sorry for the late response, been busy building and working lol.
For the detail lines i drew where i wanted to do the lines then used an exacto knife to follow the line. I then hit it with a heat fun and BOOM! awesome lines lol. I did try and used a heat knife with a different tip on a few lines in the back, but didnt like the way it turned out so i went back to the exacto knife method.
